I like the art style and music, also like how the "random encounters" are represented.
Overall it reminds me of Segagaga.
Ooh and I loved the Dr slump feeling
The visuals and sound effects were well polished, and the application to the theme was unique.
My biggest complaint was how the movement felt; it felt awkward having to completely release a direction before I could press another to chain a turn into a move or vice versa. I think adding either input buffering or multi-button polling (instead of events) would greatly help how the movement feels.
I can definitely see this game being expanded into a nice stand-alone adventure.
