Mined the 'roids! by NeiloGD

[raw]
made by NeiloGD for LD32 (COMPO)
The aim of the game is to eliminate your competitor, Blue Corp., from the 'roid mining business. Unfortunately, we can't simply attack them. It must look like an accident, or the law will be on to us.

Click on the Red Inc. mothership, and it will show you its commands:

LMB to build a miner (Costs $50).
RMB to repair any damage (Costs $50).
Click on a miner, then point at a 'roid to see its commands:

LMB to mine a 'roid.
RMB to 'accidentally' crash.
Click on a miner, then point at a mothership to see its commands:

RMB to take mined asteroid bits back.

Good entry. Has some ups and downs. Enemy AI was a bit aggressive at first but once I got the hang of working out the mechanics it wasn't as bad. I had a number of issues selecting my ships when they were stacked close to each other.

I LOOOVE how in this RTS, the miners and fighters are the same units, it makes it very original.
Also, it is very fun to play even if I had trouble with RMB/LMB at first (but that's ok, I get used to it.) This woul deserve a two player mode (but then, mouse wouldn't work. On a tablet maybe?, a bit like Pax Britannica https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.swagner.paxbritannica&hl=fr )

Good game. Shooting asteroids is fun. And kamikaze drones make interesting strategy - as in pool.

Pretty good concept! It took a little bit to warm up to the game's controls, probably because the feedback from issuing orders isn't large enough. The game itself was fairly challenging and was overall pretty fun.

Loads of fun, once you got into it! One mess was that it could be hard to select a ship, if you had a pile of full miners converting their haul to cash and a few empty ones you wanted to send out. Even with four miners it could get hard to pick them out. The AI balance is also excellent: I got schooled the first time, but I was figuring out what was going on, so I beat the AI during my second game. Besides the problem with stacked miners, the UI was pretty impressive. I especially liked that you could tell what all the units were doing at a glance, even if you couldn't stop an incoming asteroid. Keep up the good work!

Fun! It's really impressive that you got a decent AI coded up! And great work on the sounds and models!

Fun game, awesome concept! Graphics were amazing. I love the idea of disposable ships, although I kind of wish there was a little more variety in this game. Well executed!

Very good game! The graphics are great, as is the concept & the way it connects with the theme. If you are going to continue working on this game, it would however be advisable to add some sort of tutorial, as it is a bit difficult to figure out how to play effectively. The replay value is already pretty great, so it would be worth it to add some polish and put it out there :)

Super impressive!
Maybe some hotkey shortcuts will improve the game flow.
