I really liked the intro with the cute hand-drawn graphics! There were some sharp corners in your game where enemies would get stuck, making it impossible to go up further. But that was the only bug I found, and it's really impressive you were even able to make your first game in 72 hours! Good job!"},{"author_name":"terryg","author_uid":"50816","time":"Apr 22, 2015 @ 4:02am","epoch":1429675020,"text":"@IamAcoconut.  Thanks for your feed back.  I appreciate it!!  Yes.  The way to get around them is to realize that you can touch the enemies and spam them with pillows.  You lose 20% of your health each time you touch an enemy, but if you stay touching them, there's another bug where it doesn't deduct your health.  But still....both bugs need to be fixed.  I can now regularly beat the boss.  But it takes some practice, and knowing about some flaws.  It was SO much fun to put this together.  I always wanted to make a game, but was too afraid that it would take too long.  But this event showed me that you can make something playable in a weekend (ok. a 39 hour weekend), and it was a real charge."},{"author_name":"jk5000","author_uid":"50889","time":"Apr 22, 2015 @ 8:01am","epoch":1429689360,"text":"Fun game idea. One migraine enraged guy will stop the marching band, and restore peace and tranquility.\r\n\r\nTips:\r\nThe game can be completed in a few minutes. The trick is to know that you can get right up to the enemy and touch it while spamming it with pillows which immediately bounce back to you.  You will incur some damage, but the collision seems to only register most of the time as a single hit, and you only sustain 20% damage from it. This is how you get the enemies stuck in the stairwell out.  Then when they go \"emo\", you wait for the emo to slide down, and you can proceed.  \r\n\r\nMovement:\r\n-A to move back, D to move forward. W to jump. \r\n-Space to shoot pillows. \r\n-You start out with 12 pillows. You throw them and they become red. That is when they can destroy the band guys. When they are grey, you can pick them up again. Takes roughly 2 hits to destroy band member. Takes 5 hits to destroy boss.\r\n-The \r\n\r\nAbout:\r\nCreated in about 60 hours including artwork and sound which we created for this. No stock assets were used.  The \"platform\" is a picture of the concrete outside of the host site. \r\nThis is my very first game.  My daughter did the artwork, and I pulled it together with Unity.  It was a lot of fun.  I had no idea you could create a playable(?) game in a weekend.  I'm looking forward to the next Ludum Dare.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n","title":"Destroy the Band"}
