FrackBot by thejash

made by thejash for LD32 (JAM)
Help our cuddly future robots survive against mutated nature!

They must use their fracking facility to survive. It causes earthquakes to kill the monsters that are trying to steal their precious oil.

Hint: It's not the fall that kills you, it's the velocity delta between yourself and the earth at the end ;)

Only really tested on Chrome, but supposedly works on Safari as well.

Interesting, liked the voice over work and audio! It was amusing making the bugs bounce up and down.

I like the creative idea, never kill enemies like this. The intro scene is also good, nice voice :)

The wave mechanics were really interesting, and the music was cool. I think when you enter the game right after "battle on" was wierd, there is no sound transition, it just cuts.

Nice intro and definitely unique concept with the waves; would have loved to get some better feedback how much damage was required or how much I was dealing, but other than that, cool game!

This is really innovant :p I loved the intro, really funny! Lacks a bit of feedbacks (audio + graphics) but cool anyway ;)

Its satisfying but quite difficult to hit bugs when they land.
Didn't notice much change when shooting waves with different air values on the meter.

I really enjoyed the earthquake mechanic, even though it was hard to aim and random button mashing was oftentimes more effective than accurate timing. Cool game :)

Fracking to create earthquakes and fight insects and other things? That's refreshing! :P

Nice work on the graphics and setting up the overall mood of the game with a nice intro. The sound work was also nicely done. :)

The earthquake effects and this making the enemies bounce makes the game fun and challenging, for the fact that you must have a nice timing to make'em bounce higher and do more damage. :)

And you implemented basically a web/desktop/mobile version into the same build, a very big plus here! :D

Wow, what an intro and what a really unique idea! And it looks, sounds and plays very well too. Great!

Interesting mechanics, and a sense of satisfaction when destroying enemies with an efficient pattern. However, I gave up when that red earthworm took two of my robot parts and still wouldn’t die and I had no idea how much health it had left.

Minimal visual or audio feedback for damage would be helpful. Overall, nice work! But I can’t help thinking the time you used to work on the (cool) intro would have been better spent polishing the game itself.
