There is not player model\/sprite. Good job getting a game to completion. Also level design that involves dropping down and hoping that you do not fall on to spikes feels like a cheap way to add difficulty so I might advise to not go that path. Kudos to completing a game though. Hopefully you'll expand this."},{"author_name":"Sean","author_uid":"50235","time":"Sep 1, 2016 @ 5:07pm","epoch":1472749320,"text":"Solid entry! I had a couple collision issues in areas with the boxes though and got stuck in the ground at one point, so I didn't get through the whole thing. The hitboxes on the little burrito slugs are also pretty unforgiving.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Unusual choice of controls btw, is there any particular reason you went with "L" and ";"?"},{"author_name":"Chris Bode","author_uid":"111650","time":"Sep 2, 2016 @ 12:49am","epoch":1472777040,"text":"@Sean Yeah, I encountered the box collision bug for the first time immediately AFTER submitting the game. Shooting upwards will typically destroy the block that is holding you in the ground\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The control scheme is actually just a derivation of my GBA emulator keybindings. Left and right shift serve as the L and R bumpers, WASD for the D-pad, L and ; for B and A respectively. With those bindings, my game controls roughly the same as Metroid: Zero Mission.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The burrito slugs are robotic scarabs. (Trust me. Just go with it. Also the character **is** a hitbox, and the slightest touch with anything that will harm you, kills you instantly. Some hit points and a more forgiving hitbox would help a lot. Good graphics overall, but an animated character would have been better than a white rectangle. Also why am I fighting loafs of bread in a pyramid??"}],"images":["ld36\/111650-e105edd26ae652e6d1d3d2ba0b869f2a.jpg","ld36\/111650-45b2a3ebd965e8a50f3c03935b8879f3.jpg","ld36\/111650-5d3870cbf72f2b528da2006be3f74c81.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/eonz.net\/come_forth_x86.zip","text":"Windows"},{"url":"http:\/\/eonz.net\/come_forth_source.zip","text":"Source (Requires LÖVE)"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"1042","g_author":"111650","g_event":"LD36","g_eventkey":"35","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"1015","g_title":"Come Forth by Starlight","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"5","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/570486\/111650-shot0-1472521918.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/570486\/111650-shot1-1472521918.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/570486\/111650-shot2-1472521918.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"A metroidvania game set inside a recently re-discovered pyramid.
