Thanks for looking at my Ludum dare entry :) I would appreciate any feedback and i'l be sure to check out your game!

My highscore to beat is 1750 :)

Its my first Ludum dare so it has been a bit hectic but I made a game!

I wrote a little movie style description too:

"One nun with a habit for extreme skating takes on the hordes of demonic robots. The crosses are flying, the robots falling, and the wheels are rolling. If only she could stop getting electrocuted every 30 seconds."

The mouse aims the crosses.

You press X to jump, longer press = higher jump.

Avoid the enemies and electric shock zones!

This is really cool! Laughed a bit too much at the pun in the title. Great work though! XD

That was cool. Crosses everywhere. Good Job.

The pun title made me laugh right away, and the juxstaposition of all these themes was pretty awesome. I like how it uses only one button (hold vs tap). Music is very appropriate too. Nice work.

That was... a nunexpected game.

I found I didn't have enough time to recover from jumps, but it was a laugh.

Nice mix of elements. Don't like the controls. X for both jumping and shooting? I also seem to die after a few seconds no matter what I do...

Thanks everyone for the feedback! @bnhw Okay I will factor that in to the post compo version! @DKoding The idea was to make it as simple as possible but maybe I oversimplified it! I will try a prototype with separate controls.

Also @DKoding I think I made it too Hard at the start introducing two elements at once, I am going to ramp the difficulty up more slowly in the post compo version.

The music in this game is amazing. Its odd that jumping shoots and the mouse just aims but you get used to it. I like how the ctrl breaks convention. I can see the seams in the tiles sometimes... It would be cool to maybe add a scrolling city scape behind you or some other simple environmental effect. Again really great music loop :)

Game was awesome, took me a bit to get the hang of the jumping always expected it to be a bit longer. Good job, it was fun!

@internetpaulicy Thanks, that really means a lot :) The track is on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/leo-mahon/a-nunconventional-weapon-soundtrack-ludum-dare-32-unmastered I personally think it sounds best in game though, if you need music for a game at some point drop me a line. Doctor Dropper was fun and I love your art style! If I am going to fix the seams bug and a cityscape is a good idea!

@Matsuki Thanks :) I'm thinking of having the game start with just spikes so it gives the player a chance to get used to the jumping. Type Comander art is also V.Cool, im a sucker for minimalist art as you might have guessed!

Was a lot of fun, thanks for sharing! Only got to 310, but enjoyed my journey getting there. Took a bit to get used to jumping, but I don't expect myself to be awesome at a game right away :)

it was a priest? On skateboard? Fighting robots? With holy crosses? Lol. The graphics and the music is awesome!

Love the art style and the movie style description :P, I felt like the jump was hard to get the hang of and didn't feel quite as good as it should, but overall an awesome game!

I like the title pun and the animations. I feel like having the jump button also be the fire button made the game more difficult than it needed to be, but the mouse aim felt good.

I was able to get quite a long way just by keeping X held down. When I tried to be a bit more discerning then I died - a lot! Good first LD - hope to see what you do next time.
