DEITY by uninthar

Become a vengeful deity in ancient Greece and decide the most powerful cities fates! Try and destroy these cities by bending disease, weather, war, and political corruption to your will.

-Controls / How to Play
Click cities and then decide there fates, these fates aren't permanent and you must figure out the right strategy to defeat them before time runs out.

Cities still standing will give out fate, (purple bubbles) which you can collect by moving your mouse near them, healthy cities will grant the most fate, while cities effected with horrible fates will give less fate. Fate is used to purchase new fates for cities.

Boats can also be destroyed by clicking them to stop population growth.

-Strategy-
As cities each have there own unique starting population, you'll need to whittle down each city as evenly as possible. You don't want to focus on destroying one city at a time, as the others will quickly grow out of hand. It's a good idea to try and get them all destroyed as close to the same time as possible. You'll want to use big fates such as war and disease with larger cities initially, and use smaller fates such as tornadoes or hellfire on cities with smaller populations. Once they start to even out in population, be as quick as possible to destroy them with whatever faith you can get your hands on! From here on out it's a race between you and the clock to try and destroy the cities before time runs out; so keep checking each cities status, and if you see the pink heart icon, it means the city is healthy and gaining population, quickly change that. With all of this and a few learned tricks of your own, you should be able to win.

Awesome graphics. It kinda remains me the game Plague (where you control diseases and you have to kill everyone). Nice game !

Apparently, Chrome thinks your game is malware and would not let me download it. Don't know what's up with that.

This was all done in 48 hours from scratch? If the answer is yes, than take it as really high praise...

I managed to download it anyway and had a lot of fun. Good game, I'd play this more if you made a full release with some more features.

Thanks for all the feedback. So, as this is my first ludum dare attempt I've already learned to make the game play more clear and understandable, so I updated the description in the post to better explain the game play and give my strategy for winning.
-Cheers!

Neat take on the theme, and well executed!
Great interface and graphics, I especially like the map and the fate effects.
I appreciate the timeline too; in a numbers game like this it's nice to have a little HUD-based action history.

Arghh, I was so close! Gradually getting city populations so the same levels was a tense and uphill battle while time was running out. Very well done. I kinda wanted to see a high score table even if I was unable to win, though, but I guess that can be done in a post-compo version.

Great job!

Damn, almost got it =). Very nice concept, gorgeous graphics. I would have loved to see the possibility to combine "fates" for even greater destruction ! Or maybe that they could propagate between cities.
