Lumber Jacques by gelisam

[raw]
made by gelisam for LD32 (JAM)
You are a lumberjack named Jacques who teams up with Ben the beaver to do what both of you do best: cut down a lot of trees. I wonder if the creatures of the forest are okay with that plan?

Loved the idea! However I wish you could throw that beaver or hit something with it!

Kind of hard to play on Android, but still pretty fun. Definitely an unconventional weapon!

had a good laugh...nice effort! Fell out of my chair at the first flaming bear that came at me. Good entry!

This whole game seems like a subtle metaphor for something but I'm too afraid to explore its conceptual overtones.

Would recommend.

I loved the idea of using a beaver to chop down trees. It was pretty horrifying when I first saw a bear on fire.

Great game!

Had a lot of fun with this one. The frantic pace really gives it a lot of charm.

Amazing idea, very well executed. Only that everything felt a bit at a fast peace fast-paced. Maybe make the character and the lovely bear a bit slower and thus give more time to the player and bonus from the maple cans?
The atmosphere was quite nice!

Pretty cool game! The 'unconventional weapon' is pretty funny. Liked the randomly on-fire bears. Controls were decent and the graphics, while a bit simple, are clear and functional. Nice job!

44 trees cut. Nice animations, I don't understand why bears are burning.

That was fun :) I gather the only thing you can do is run from the flaming bears?

Controls could be better, but the game is cute and well made.

I found the idea to be on-theme and pretty funny. Why are the bears on fire? Kind of wish there were a little more strategy though.

I like aesthetic and listening this music in introduction. The gameplay seems to me a little bit basic, but it's good enough. However, the most important is that you have introduced here a real unconventional weapon - the beaver. Thumbs up ++

cool idea and finally another game with textures ;) the controls were good and cutting the trees is fun but the enemies were the weak point. some more information/feedback and maybe a way to fight them or something?
