Bilehacker by RobotParking

[raw]
made by RobotParking for LD32 (COMPO)
Bilehacker is a body horror hacking interactive fiction game. Rather than use your ~technological knowhow~ to retrieve data, you exchange bodily fluids for access. Biodata for data and data for fliff. Get enough money and leave Earth?

This game is also designed to work with the 3D browser JanusVR. A client can be found at http://janusvr.com/.

ALSO MASSIVE CONTENT WARNING:
Yo, there's a lot of bodily fluids sloshing around in this game.
Accessing your computer is a repetitive and super uncomfortable/invasive process.
Also, there's a little bit of musing about the tech industry, which is its own interminable horror show.

I'll probably make a less-icky version of this game at some point, I just didn't have time to implement it during LD.

Interesting concept, but a bit repetitive. Wasn't able to get past the walls of text. Thanks for sharing though.

As per usual a good game with a horrible theme.
I like this decaying weird sci-fi world.

Wery nice mood!
But I'm unable to get throgh walls of text too.

I thought that I need to waste all my stats to change something, but when I did it, I just stuck with no buttons.

Very good, I mean totally disgusting but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I impressed myself that I was able to make it several bites into a sandwich here before I had to stop playing.

Won, I guess? Not so much an interactive story as it is a kind of RPG. After the first time you've read them, the blurbs of text just get in the way, especially the ~10 clicks you need to jack in and get to work. But it does have a weird kind of charm :)

"
You place the nanofibre genital manipulator against your undercarriage and shiver as its tendrils palpate your crevices and intubate your orifices."

Well, alright then.

Respectfully, as I'm sure it was your intent, this might've been the most disgusting game I've played all jam. Very cohesive theme and experience, solidly put together.

Well, that was weird. But very well put together. Although I think I found a bug, you get the reward money even if you immediately decide to jack out and not following through with the mission.

What did I just play? What's with the body fluid obsession these days? ;)
