Fleet Meat by Destruktorrr

[raw]
made by Destruktorrr for LD32 (JAM)
Fleet Meat is a time-attack game where you play as Unity's lovable robot/part-time mascot, Kyle. Kyle doesn't like meat-bags (humans), and he's just about had it with their shenanigans. Help him beat as much meat as you can in the time allotted to get a high score!

Note: Hitting meat-bags into other meat-bags to get extra beatings earns you BONUS POINTS!

*UPDATE*
Made some minor bug fixes with the UI. If the UI shows up and won't go away (this has happened to at least one mac user), I apologize, but it must be an issue with Unity's Mac support with the GUI, since I didn't change anything between the different OS versions.

I found the controls to be quite tricky, and aiming at targets almost impossible.

Played this longer than I should have, nice models for the robot and people. Camera is a bit swim-y.

I wish I could say something bad, that ragdolling isn't funny anymore... but goddamnit it is too damn fun.

Hard to go wrong with a cool walking robot and ragdolls. Camera controls were a bit odd, and I kept walking out of view. Other than that though no issues

Pretty solid game. Camera controls are a bit clunky. The music really adds to the feel of the game.

My favourite part was the sunglasses flying off the guys head when I beat him.

Nice assets, the gameplay feels a bit repetitive and it doesn't seem to have a lose condition from what I've saw

That was entertaining. Hey are those visual FX available by default on unity 5? It looked stunning! But there were some glitches with some of the "citizens". They would stretch in unethical ways :D. But this was awesome. Loved it. Definitely doing 3D next time.

@kidando Yes, the visual FX come default with Unity 5. They've provided a much simplified list of shaders, and most things work great with just the standard shader they provide (most of the shaders, including the main character's shader, used the standard one).

The strange stretching has to do with Unity's ragdoll physics. They don't always like high forces being applied to them :P

I don't need gameplay there. I just want to hold shift and chill around :o)

I suck with the controls, but it gives me more reason to waste time at work trying to beat my awful high score. Fun game.
