Bango by timtipgames

[raw]
made by timtipgames for LD32 (JAM)
Please look at the screenshots for further instructions. We didn't have the time to add them to the game as planned :)

The game has kind of a steep learning curve, but it gets even more fun once you get the hang of it.

We wanted to have multiple difficulty settings in the game to accommodate for the learning phase but didn't have the time to do so. We hope it's playable for everyone and may upload a post-compo version soon.

Thank you for playing!

I really enjoyed the clean style of your graphics and effects. The game is complicated but fun.

It is complicated to learn the chain of colors but the concept is interesting. Graphics are well done.

It is a bit complicated at first but after I got it, it was very challenging, nice job.

Game was a little confusing at first, the screenshots certainly helped. I dig the clean art style.

Lovely, clean art style and really fun gameplay once you figure out how it works. It's definitely a lot to take in at first -- if you do go ahead with the post-compo version, it would be great to have a mode that introduces the various attacks bit by bit. Great work!

It's challenging and at first I was mostly like: Press all the things! But it actually has an interesting mechanics and it leads you to learning it and planning your actions. I love this art style.

Complex gameplay, took me a while to figure out how it plays. I'm still not sure what are the rules for which piece "lives" when it's moved.
The art style is incredible, and the audio is competent. It's addicting too, maybe you could only make it a little harder. Overall, it looks and feels like a finished game, excellent job! :)

Nice game. Simple and not difficult. Score showing zero, when you lose.

I rarely see a .jar in a Ludum Dare that looks so good!
Nice moody sound effects.
I did get better after I got the hang of it, but never really good.
But that's got nothing to do with the quality of the game:)

Really cool game. Reminds me of a match 3 type game, only more interesting, and offers a lot more strategic depth with lots of opportunity to plan ahead. Excellent presentation, slick graphic style and neat ambient sounds. Very cool.

Mechanics could be explained more better as it took me a while to get used to it but I like the concept. Also the score always seems to show as 0 after the game is over.
