Foreword: This game chronicles the journey of a man writing his autobiography, but to do so, he must fight his inner demons, including the regret he carries of his years of participating in the hippy movement, the memories that haunt him of service in the draft, and the fear of the unknown, his inevitable ageing that will leave him a dead man with no legacy. Will "The Author" give into his demons, or will he finish his work, and prove that the pen is in fact mightier than the sword.

Like the concept!

In the end, the pen unfortunately wasn't mightier than the sword - managed to survive about 10 seconds at most :( Not sure if collision is 100%.

Good effort.

I liked the graphics and concept! The game doesn't seem to restart though? I had to refresh the page if I wanted to play again.

Great effort!

I liked the graphics and atmosphere. Unfortunately the gameplay wasn't great. The pen didn't seem to have enough range and it was almost impossible to attack without getting killed. A way to restart after a gameover would have been good too.

Interesting concept, but quite difficult in concept. I barely made it to 3.

I couldn't seem to hit anyone. They kept killing me first.

I think the game could have been more enjoyable with just a few tweaks. One being an implementation of a 'Play Again' button, and the second being a clearer hit box. I thought the sound design was pretty excellent. Fits well into the literary theme. Kudos!

Good concept but the gameplay ended up as button mashing and with lack of restart. The graphics were great though.

Concept is nice art as well, though it is so hard to survive a longer than few seconds because the enemies are fast, screen is small and not a lot of space for maneuvering, well if it wasn't made this hard on purpose. Also a restart button would be nice. But good job anyway.

I got 9 point broking my elbow.

Maybe the concept may be kind of good, but the realization luck on different point.

Collision and range of the pen lack consistency and make the game impossible and boring to play, to this we should add the lack of restart.
