Unearth-Burial! (Make sure to download the whole zip file!)

Play as a man who finds his friend's dead body. He then spends the next day collecting his friend's favorite things, which happen to be nascent technologies.

CONTROLS:
Arrow keys to move, Up arrow to jump.
Press down to examine/dig.
THE NEXT CONTROLS ONLY UNLOCK LATER IN THE GAME:
Press and hold W to launch the rope snake. If it hits a platform, you can swing on it. You can also jump at the end of the swing.

Press Q to throw a spear. Spears act as platforms when they stop. The snake can also swing on them. You can only have 3 spears out at a time.

Man this was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I had to cut a lot of ideas out just to finish this.

The source is the assets folder. It contains all my art, music, and code.

Fun fact: All the music was written AND performed by me on my keyboard! Hope everyone enjoys it.

The music absolutely MADE this game. You did a really awesome job. I fell off a lot, but it was worth it.

Cool idea, and I really liked the music. Found some of the controls tough to use (rope not connecting when it looked like it should, wall jumps intentional?). Enjoyed the moody atmosphere.

Interesting, quirky little thing. Wish I could have finished it, but I had to give up after spending much to long fighting against the snake controls.

Absolutely loved the music. The mechanics and levels design of this game are really clever and well done as well. Great writing as well. Some of the grappling with the snake was a bit difficult at times, but once I got the hang of it, I had a lot of fun :)

I loved this game, I legitimately might play it again some time. Probably the most immersed I've gotten in a ludum dare game. I liked the art for the platforms a lot

@sorlok wall jumping wasn't intentional! I released a fix for it, so hopefully that's gone. @KevKevOnFire Sorry about the snake controls! I'll hopefully revisit this game and get the mechanics a little more solid. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Nice music. Really good platformer mechanics. The story is a little short... meaning you couldn't really extend it into a longer game. But for an attempt at a poignant life lesson, it was good.

Waves of feels. The snake drove me to the edge of madness, but I soldiered on cause I was emotionally invested in the narrative sold by the music.

Amazing work! Great humor in the narrative, as well as emotion. A great story being told in that platformer :)

The dead snake made it possible at times to get closer to the ceiling (jump - snake - jump - snake...) and hop on top of a platform that way. Really fun thing to do (and really frustating, when falling on a lower platform, resetting your spawnpoint)

Great piano track. It matches the character of the game so well. Way to go!
