Aqueduct Defense Force by BoxedMeatRevolution

[raw]
made by BoxedMeatRevolution for LD36 (JAM)
Use the ancient power of aquaducts to defend your small, sad, ugly kingdom.

HOW TO PLAY

1. Click on the RESERVOIR in the center of the screen to create an aqueduct.
2. If you connect the aqueduct to a building, the building will ACTIVATE
3. If the aqueduct isn't connected to anything, it will spill water

HOT TIPS

1. Building an aqueduct costs 100 STONE. Attach an aqueduct to the MINE to generate STONE.
2. Aqueducts can be DELETED by RIGHT-CLICKING on an end
3. Your reservoir has a limited amount of water. Rain will cause it to refill.
4. ???
5. You can SUPER POWER a building by connecting it with MULTIPLE AQUEDUCTS!

K, thanks. Try to have fun.

Cool concept! Aqueduct tower defense is a cool concept. Controls are a bit sticky but overall very intriguing.

I didn't even realize you could add multiple aqueducts to the same building until I asked myself what I was missing and came back here. That was pretty cool. You should expand on it and see where it goes!

Same, though I eventually just looked at the screenshots and saw the possible patterns. I think it's a cool concept of using your resource to activate buildings, similar to how power works in FTL. Give some more tension and uniqueness to the buildings and it could be really fun to juggle the water around.

It is a fun game. It can expand a lot but, for a jam, it is very good.

It was really interesting to realise that this games uses something as natural as geometry to increase building cost. I think it can be improved even more by some restrictions (i.e. if one build action can deploy only limited length of aqueduct, you will need only one action to connect building first, two - second, etc, so price will gradually increase).
I understand, that currently game is balanced the way it is, but still, if you're going to play with concept more.
Well done!

cool idea, music isn't bad it isn't good either. Game is entertaining when u get grasp of it. In my opinion if you work more on this project you should get a decent game :)
well done implementing high score table :).

Loved the concept ! I would have loved a bigger map, with more buildings and more aqueducs ;)
Controls were a bit hard to understand though

Nice game, Well done !

Interesting concept. I think balance could be improved. I managed to survive quite long (at least several minutes) without doing anything near the beginning.

This is nice concept but after you build all connections you cant do anything else it needs something more like choosing what to repair to survive or blocking aqueducts with mountains. Also te top right tower splits water all over the place and refuses to shoot.

i thought this was really neat! the first time i played, i felt a little bit confused, but the pieces eventually fit together. i think it definitely could be expanded on to become a larger game, but as it is, it's a nice little tower defense game. good job!
