braingun by thephantom

[raw]
made by thephantom for LD32 (COMPO)
I've always wanted to conquer the world .
but i never could .. because my body is so weak .
i can't hold a sword or handle a bow :(

but i won't let this stop me .
i am going to use this big Brain of mine
no one shall stand in my way .. with me Brain i can get anyone to OBEY .

game play :

your goal is to use your mind to control the world and destroy all houses of enemies .

you can persuade peopele to join you be pressing "G" but be aware because they will try to attack you in the meanwhile .

once they join you they will automaticly follow you .. you can then order them to keep following or attacking their nearest enemy by pressing "H" . you can also heal yourself and them as well by pressing "J" while enemies are following you and not when they are fighting .

every house you beat allows you to proceed to the next zone .. try to beat all three houses to beat the game .

******************************************************************************
- the game was made using haxeflixel on Linux so it is cross-platform.. i am currently having some trouble with my pc and internet connection .. so i can't export to native windows yet .. i will try to add more distribution as soon as i can ..

- i do think the idea was a little too ambitious .. i had a lot of idea to add and some ot them were already implemented but i had to remove alot of stuff in order to finish before the deadline ..

one last thing .. the game wasn't properly tested .. so sorry if you found any bugs . just restart the game please . and tell me in the comments so i can fix in later versions .

Fun game, would like to see it with a story and more developed enemies!

Nice group mechanics, but it was a little easy with just 1 house at a time. Good graphics, though a bit sparse. Also presuading people is really easy once you have a couple of followers, could be a little harder.

It seems a bit more like an engine test, but from your description I understand the game was left underdeveloped due to being a bit too ambitious. What is in there though is very solid. Especially the way your character moves and how others follow in formation feels polished.

A really fun little God game! I found it funny how the persuasion power depended on your army size! Controls are a bit quirky, but overall a fun little game!

Took me a while to find people, and then they killed me. A few playthroughs later I started to make a strategy. Its a really good start and thanks for turning me on to HaxeFlixel, hadn't heard of it!

I liked the way your followers grouped around you. They're not too bright though, continuing to attack a building that no longer exists... :/

Good fun! It gets pretty easy once you work out the mechanics, but it's satisfying to get up your hoard and knock down the houses.

nice entry! i really like the graphics. the idea itself is pretty good but once you get enough people on your side you are pretty much unstoppable :)
good work!

I like the concept. And the graphics are simple yet efficient.

Interesting idea but it could need some more work. It seemed quite easy to convert guys and create yourself a large army making the following levels quite easy.
