About this game:
Hello, everyone. Thanks for checking out the game. This is the second Ludum Dare I have attempted and completed. How exciting! I felt like I should add a bit of back story to this entry. Here it goes!
The idea of making a playground, as a level in a game, has been an itch my inner child has been dying to scratch. So I knew where I wanted the setting to be from the very beginning. I just needed to think of an unconventional weapon. I thought to myself, "What if a kid dropped a juice box on the playground and it got all Toy Story/Toy Soldiers up in there?" This was my first thought and it was already late into the first day so I figured I'd run with it. The juice box hero would come to life and find toys that were being attacked by booger monsters. As you can see in the final product, the toys didn't make it in. Let's be honest, a lot of things didn't make it in. That's what happens when you go outfit shopping in the middle of the day and celebrate a birthday. Excuses aside, I did manage to stream a bit of development which helped with concentration. Unfortunately, I only really put about 8 hours into the game. I would have like to have polished more. I realized the visuals were as good as they were going to get once I threw a box mesh over the default Unreal Engine character. I walk away from this Ludum Dare with more knowledge about custom movement modes. (Excuse the frustrating pole climb) Thank you all for playing!

I'm not sure whether to feel inspired by the music or overwhelmed by the blue man in a box.

8/10 would slurp up green goo off a playground again.

This game is hilarious. I especially enjoyed the juice box's beefy legs. I don't know if it was intentional, but I was able to run up the red poles.

My first Unreal Engine game this compo I have played - very simple game, does the trick. A straw is definitely an unlikely weapon. Would have enjoyed it more if it made slurping sounds ;)

I had a lot of fun with your title! You have an innovative concept and good exploration gameplay. Small comment: You might adjust the box model and human model. The rest of his frame was poking out of the box for part of the game.

I finished it... I will think back on this moment for the rest of my life. The moment when I played the box-person game.

I loved how dramatic the music was. It was really fun exploring a giant playground as a tiny juice box :)

Juice Box Man isn't the hero we deserve, but he's the hero we need right now. A vanguard for the weak and helpless. A fighter for the lost and dispossessed.

This game demonstrates knowledge of a lot of difficult techniques in 3D platforming - really well done. I can only imagine how good this would be with weeks or months of development behind it.

Leave the legs sticking out of the box, that one's great :D
