Bunny Attack by texdata
this is my entry to ludum dare #32 compos
a mouse button masher of poor bunnies.
I started from scratch without any code base just to see where it will take me and of course I changed direction as I went along. At first i wanted to do a laughing game where a weapon would be a feather and player should use it to laugh to the death himself, then i found out i can not laugh for sound effects and as i was working on song it came out something completely different and inappropriate for laughing game. At that time I still had no idea what the game will be about so i said lets make a cooking game where you mix a dish to poison your lover. Well that did not work out neither because i am a lousy cook let alone the artist to draw spaghetti, so i was stuck with tons of spoons and utensils for cooking.
Then i decided i should make a music/rhythm game, uf ... but for proper music game i should do some sound analysis, and for this there was no time. so i decided that a cook and his associates should dance to music and use the cooking tools to defend from the evil bunny that i found old children colouring book, took it out, used scissors and coloured it then took the picture of it and used it as an icon and since I kind a like things flying against the player this is what it came out. I hope you enjoy the game it as much as i enjoyed making it.
It has one song, one sound effect of squeezing paper, some mocap i did Sunday morning with a massive hangover I would not recommend to anyone, so please don't laugh at me dancing. i accidentally posted a slo-mo video on my facebook and laughing there should be enough :)
Most of resources are loaded from streaming assets so any one can extend available tools for a chef cook. Just add a .png and add a line in .txt file along with some parameters. The parameters are there but are not really used anywhere except as text on cards. Files are read at the begining of the game, loading from streaming assets is probably the only thing reusable from this project, everything else is a put-together mess i don't understand. All motion captures files are included in unity project along with some walks and runs that i planned to include but later changed my mind. The stick man is a simple plane, binded to skeleton and then used as mecanim character in unity. Time working on a project is around 20h, i had things to do and people to see, weather was nice and kids were playfull.
there are linux, osx and windows builds at

along with unity project sources in Unconventional Weapon.zip

uncaught exception: could not load memory initializer Release/webGL.html.mem". Tested with firefox 37.0.1
Nice Game, quite hard to hit the rabbits sometimes. Unfortunately I did not see the difference between a Tool and a Utensil, and what impact they had on the game. Other than that, it was fun :)
On the Linux version I cannot open the "Tools" window, I get an error that says it could not be loaded.
Will not rate, since I could barely play it, and it was fun from what I saw.
The interface felt 'too big', and there was some perks stuff that did not work.
I expected other music when a rock'n'roll bunny mama was mentioned.

Pretty fun game to play with a great soundtrack. And those are some sick dance moves dude!
Loved the 3D, and was there a reason for having the people dancing around the player?
Good luck! :)
Cute bunnies though =)
Liked the color scheme you went with and the mad bunnies :)
