You own a fishing business.
Upgraded boats and nets can hold more fish.
Upgraded boats can also send nets deeper.
Upgraded nets also move slower but prevent more fish from slipping through the holes.
How to play:
Fish are hidden at first. If you pull your net through a school it will become visible.
Each "day" is 5 minutes long.
You may empty your ship early by pushing "Empty". This will allow you to cash in immediately but lose the ship.
Ships will leave automatically once they get full and once the "day" is over.
STATS:
Boat lvl 1: 100lbs, 2m (sardine and trout)
Boat lvl 2: 250lbs, 3m (lvl1 + salmon)
Boat lvl 3: 500lbs, 5m (lvl2 + tuna)
Net lvl 1: 10lbs, tuna only guaranteed catch
Net lvl 2: 50lbs, tuna, salmon, and trout guaranteed
Net lvl 3: 100lbs, everything guaranteed
Sardine: 1lb, $5
Trout: 5lbs, $20
Salmon: 10bs, $70
Tuna: 20lbs, $100
Things to note:
I was sadly unable to add any sounds/music due to time. I was hoping to at least have wave sounds :'(
Sometimes when fishing a sardine school you will not get any more from it. This is a bug in the algorithm for "chance caught". It's saying that the boat should catch < 1 fish so it rounds down to 0. Just move your boat somewhere else or empty it.
This game is probably incredibly unbalanced. Have fun! :P
KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES:
- When going back to the main menu after the day is done the levels aren't correct. They are still correct in the backend just not displayed correctly. If you were to upgrade again it would jump to the correct number.
- You are allowed to buy upgrades that make you not able to afford the boats.

Like you said, there are some issues (I totally did the bankruptcy upgrade thing), but it's still a neat idea! It feels like a good base for a management or maybe even an idle game. And don't worry, I know the feeling of running out to time to do much with audio, too!

@SketchyGalore thanks! I had a lot of fun this time around. This is probably the closest I've been to completing a game that feels game-y and something that I might actually play myself :D
