BattleFood by bufferoverflow
The mad scramble, dashing for cover, the horror of getting bolognese sauce in your eyes. This is BattleFood, a multiplayer food battling arena! Featuring 5 exciting foods to throw like Spaghetti and Hamburgers. Have the food fight you always wanted with none of the mess!
The idea was a constant drop in, drop out style battle. If you get hit with food it coats your screen preventing you from seeing. There are wash stations around the room to clean yourself off. The winner is whoever manager to hit people with the most food after some time limit.
W,A,S,D to move
Right mouse to pickup food and interact with washing stations
Left mouse to throw food
You can hold two food at once
Escape to return the main menu
` (Tilde) to bind/unbind the mouse
What's working:
You should be able to at least launch in a private server and move around and try throwing the different foods around. If you've got a few friends try setting up a multiplayer game. We got it working a couple of times, you should be able to throw food and hit each other but not everything syncs correctly so it might just break. There's some auto food throwers in the scene so you can see the screen coat effect.

Unfortunately we didn't quite get everything finished before the distractions of the boring real world got in the way but I thought we owed it to each other to at least show what did.
Notes/Bugs:
Also there's maybe memory leaks? It should all clean up when you close the program though.
Also collision detection with the food projectiles is a bit inconsistent but you should be able to get hit at least sometimes.
Restarting your game is a bit buggy you might be better off just relaunching the whole thing

Interesting take on the theme - brings me back to highschool. You guys should keep working on it, it has potential.
