Frenzy Inc. by Aevek

[raw]
made by Aevek for LD32 (JAM)
Everyone on this office is getting on everyone else's nerves and they're finally starting to snap. Eliminate as many of your annoying coworkers as you can, but be careful, your colleagues will fight back if attacked or join in any fight they see.

Windows, OSX, and Linux are all supported. Gamepad doesn't work well on Linux or OSX (although different gamepad drivers might have helped)

If your character keeps looking up, unplug and gamepads you may have connected; it seems to be a side-effect of unity's gamepad support. Sorry about that, we'll try to fix.

WASD/mouse to move, E to interact, F to drop current weapon.

Xbox 360 Gamepads are also supported. A to jump, X to interact, Y to drop current weapon.

First I stapled some guy in the head. After taking it like a man for a bit, he ran off and tried to hide from me. But I found him and chucked my coffee mug in his face. He then proceeded to pick up the coffee mug and beat me to death with it. Great fun game, and it looks good too :)

Unfortunately when I tried to play, my character kept trying to look at the ceiling...It was pretty much unplayable :(

On "Fantastic" the graphics were glitching out something fierce so I just knocked it down to fastest and it still chugged a bit. The sound for walking was awkward to hear in the otherwise silence.

That being said the concept is solid and it was fun to give someone the home row and pop some guy with staples. However the combat lacks any kind of impact due to lack of sound effects and feedback. (player or enemies reacting in some way)

HAHA this one is ABSOLUTELY outrageous. Actually got me to audibly cackle. Rough around the edges, but a good fun take on the theme. As a part time desk jockey trying to pay my way through college/uni, I certainly relate. Well done bruss.

Lovely! I had a tough go of it until I learned that the stapler shoots staples. Just sniped people over their cubicle walls for a while until I got bored. Nice work!

The little post-it notes with bios are great so I can personalize my attacks while chasing co-workers around the office with a stapler.

Very clever, reminds me why I don't want to go back to cubicle life. Hits a little too close to home haha. This could sell well to over-stressed office workers. I enjoyed the setting, the design and the artwork. Good AI, the office seemed alive with life. I had an issue with aggressive npc's moving inside my camera space to attack me to where I found it hard to fight back, or see what was going on. Not sure if the colliders glitched or what. Still, this was a fun little entry to explore.

I tried to play and my player kept constantly looking toward the upper left of the screen, not allowing me to control where to look. :(

flwns and speakupgames, do you have a gamepad connected to your system when this is happening? Thats the only way I've been able to reproduce this error. If so could you try without that and let me know if that fixes it? Thank you both for the feedback.

Interesting concept, although kept getting stuck on tables where I couldn't hit anyone and they all crowded around me so I couldn't get of.

Quite a bit of fun! My strategy was to hang out in the break room and lure people in with the stapler. :3

this is HILARIOUS. its amazing that you wrote a backstory on each character. its really fun to whack coworkers with random office supplies. the fire extinguisher is OP and the break room is the best place to camp. i got to CEO.
