Green and Blue by Jacob Eriksson

[raw]
made by Jacob Eriksson for LD32 (COMPO)
Ludum Dare 32 Compo game with the theme "An unconventional weapon".

Game By: Jacob Eriksson (Glowygames.com) or @JacobEriksson98 on twitter :)

Hello! This is my Ludum Dare 32 compo entry and it's my first time participating in the Ludum Dare, aside from Mini LD 58. It's was really fun doing this and will probably join future Ludum Dares.

This Game is about a guy who uses green and blue guns to make it through a unknown world. It's a 2D platformer (points for originality).

Controls: W, A, S and D for movement. Left and right mouse buttons for the color guns.

Nice concept. aiming with mouse while jumping makes the camera move is a bit hard. Also the second color didn't add anything to the mechaning until where I got.
But good idea and execution!

You are a brave soul for using the Unity WebGL compiler. Nice job.

Everything inspired by Portal its a good thing :)
It s nice when the BGM change to indicate a new mechanics or enemy
I (rage) quit at the final stage cause of the flying enemy keeps killing near the end :o, but it was a really fun ride !

Very interesting mechanics. Great gameplay. Suffers a bit from the graphics but everything else is great.

Also good level design!

I really liked the idea. However the controls were very glitchy. I suppose you used a physics engine for the controls and thats not really good for a platformer (i tried it many times). I think there wasnt really a learning curve. It felt like constant tutorial until the last level. It really annoyed me that the enemies came out in random directions because it made situations impossible and just unfair and it ruined the fun. Sometimes I wanted to jump but then he like only jumped 20px, which was not enough to jump high enough.

Neat weapon, however I found that I wanted to jump and fire at the same time to play. Its a neat platformer though! I included it in part 1 of my Ludum Dare 32 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/-ZkAqIe6FiQ

Fun to play! Would've loved to be able to change directions of the platforms by shooting them again & being able to turn off platform again. Although the enemies are maybe a bit too fast?

Well that escalated quickly. But I stuck through it.

This game was actually pretty fun. The rules and controls were introduced in a very innovative and organic matter. The difficulty curve felt just right. Most of all, I had fun!

Dozens of mechanics made for a really enjoyable game. Please do a post-compo version!

Nice work! Really fun core gameplay. Last level is hard as all hell. Stupid missiles...

Not a bad game at all, would love to mute that music, but I just kept thinking about portals and stuck through it.

Surprisingly hard during the later levels but I love the concept. You should definitely polish it up and work on a full-fledged post-compo version.

Really fun. Looked rather simplistic during the first levels, but when I got to the point of having to hit platforms, ships, balls, moving, jumping, aiming and shooting carefully at the same time, it got more chaotic than a piano lesson. Good job.

Liked the level design and the idea is cool. Like others have said, the controls with the keyboard can be difficult, but overall good job!
