Failed Experiment by Halleflux
EDIT: Uploaded a version that shouldn't crash on an error, and also uploaded standalones.
WARNING! There exists a bug, when you first blitz an enemy, they might not die. Just a heads up. I don't know what the problem is, but it seems to just be the first time, and it doesn't always happen. Sorry about that.
In this game, you play as a failed experiment, and escape through the facility, using stealth, speed, and murder as your tools.
...Or, at least, that's more or less how it played out in my head.
The game itself really didn't end up panning out the way I had hoped, and I only made the tutorial and one more more-than-less untested level.
I just didn't like the sub-genre that I fell into with it, especially after imagining something... different. I'm not quite sure right now (I've been up for 30 hours straight, that probably has something to do with it =\), but it isn't what I wanted.
However, as for a first attempt at complex-ish AI, it turned out rather well. The AI have some semblance of intelligence and general... alive-ness, even though there are a few bugs that, while they don't actually hold it back to any great extent, exist.
The gameplay is where it fell flat, really. If I wanted to create interesting levels with this, it would take a really long time for each one. (This is part of why I call it 'Failed Experiment'.)
So, lesson learned, I suppose.
I hope this is enjoyable anyways, though.
Oh! I also made a much better tutorial this time around. Improvement! =D
