Long Story Short by Dia6lo

[raw]
made by Dia6lo for LD36 (COMPO)
Well, I have no idea why I picked this name for the game, but anyways, let me present my second LD game. This time I've tried to put more effort in art and UX, and I think this entry outperforms last one. Yay, +100XP.

I've used all the same tools as in last compo:
- Visual Studio + Resharper
- Bridge.NET + Bridge.Pixi + Pixi.js
- Art: http://www.piskelapp.com/
- Music: http://online.boscaceoil.net/
- Deployment: GitHub Pages

P.S: This time no iFrame D: Please, proceed to Web link.

Hahaha man I wish I could give you some votes for humor here! Lovely infinity! Controls remind me of GTA2.

Wow that art is amazing! Controls feel very solid. I felt like I was in Groundhog day, took me 2-3 times until I went "Wait a minute, this is a never ending loop!".

Very good agency via hero emotions. Animations of fire and smoke are great too.
Kindling minigame is jenious.. but all version with big buttons was catchier. Progressbar maybe?
If you will learn how to draw all grapfics by real grid of pixels with fixed size - your games becomes perfectly.

Fun game. A bit short. The emotions depicted in your character are great. I actually think the best part is the fire starting. You could probably do a speed meter on just that part and make an entire flash-franchise on who can start fires the fastest.
The game didn't actually accept the arrow keys in Edge browser for some reason.

Very amusing. The art really fits the game; I really loved the interactive story element. I did find the controls a bit difficult to use though!

Another thing you could do is put in an Easter egg which pops up after you've played 10 times or something :P

Suddenly I remember GTA and Gravity Fall at the same time. Good graphic though. Cheers. :)

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

Nice game! I really loved the animations and graphics. The gameplay was quite repetitive though.

Couldn't get the get to start in Safari browser- Spacebar wouldn't recognize. No problems in Chrome. Fun little game, only lasted 3 days though.

Liked the sound, and visuals. Sorry but the gameplay was crap, I didn't like walking around, it's repetitive and I don't know when I've placed something on the fire.
