Game Description
================

Your spaceship crashed on a planet full of music-controlled, brain-eating aliens with laser weapons. Your only way to fight back is a mirror you found on your spaceship's remains.

Use your mouse to control the angle of the player. Point the mirror in the direction of the shots to reflect them. The more consecutive shots you reflect, the more points you earn.

Notes
=====

This game was our last try in participating on the Jam. The two ideas we had before that were scrapeed mid-development, so we had only 24h to create this. Everything is calculated using polar coordinates, so the note hits aren't precisely aligned with the sprites.

Congratulations man, this is a very simple yet awesome song based game. I played it A LOT.

Really neat! The way the gameplay matches the beat made it surprisingly enjoyable for such a simple concept.

I liked the song. really!!!! too much. 6/5... but i can only give 5/5 sorry. I fill guilty to give another game 5/5 since i head this music.
Anyway consider next versions to control using A and D, or maybe the arrows. I think it will be much better.

Simple, but very well designed game. Nice Job!

@mockthebear Thanks a lot for the feedback! We actually thought of using the keyboard for the controls, but for this song, it'd be too hard (the music is very fast). If we continue to develop the game, it'll probably use keyboard controls (and some modifier key like Shift to make it turn faster).

Musicians of the world, unite!

Anyway, pretty solid prototype, would be good to refine the controls a bit to make it work betterer... but DAMN this music makes a nice change from most of the other entries I've tried so far.

@GreaseMonkey Thanks for the feedback! I had to use some very (very) ugly hacks to make the controls work on this prototype. If we continue to develop this game, we'll probably stick to keyboard/controller controls, making the code better to manage =D

Would have loved to see some other form of control, the mouse is not really ideal for turning it around unless you play in a small window. Controller support would be great, but there is only so much you can do in 72 hours haha! Thanks for participating!

This was very fun! Music is nice, and once I realized it synched up, added a lot.

Pretty solid and enjoyable gameplay! Like most good music and rhythm games, I am terrible at it but nevertheless enjoy it. The mouse-requiring control is uncommon, as is the spinning the cursor, but it is a good mechanic, if a little hard for me to adapt to. I am also unsure if the post-song scores are accurate. Even when I only visibly counted about five missed notes (that I noticed - I could be far off), the game gave me an accuracy of 21.36%, with 135 hit notes and 158 missed. Not only is that accuracy off (unless it is accounting for more detailed measurements than the game reveals), but I'm pretty sure there weren't that many notes in the song.

...or I could simply be oblivious to half the notes. Entirely possible. ;) Great and addictive game, though!

@cdrch Looks like I swapped the totalNotes and the missedNotes variable =/

That accuracy value is weird though... this is the code that I'm using for calculating it:

accuracy = (goodNotes/totalNotes) * 100

Going to investigate both those issues tomorrow and upload a fixed version. Thanks for the feedback!

This was fun, and the music was great of course! The story fits the theme well, but not the actual gameplay however - good job!

Fun game, I had actually considered something similar for the jam. I like how the level was handcrafted rather than just being random lines flying at you.

I'm a big fan of rhythm-based games, so I definitely enjoyed this and can see the potential in a more fleshed out version! Nice work1
