Game Genre: Typing/Spelling Game


Game platform: PC


Game Premise: Simulate a keyboard warrior’s experience defending what he loves on the interwebs.


Gameplay summary:

1. Players have 20 seconds each turn to write as many complete words as possible into their comment. The comment is then weighed against an opponent according to how many complete words they manage to type out. Larger words grant larger bonuses.

2. Possible multiplayer

3. “AI” sends predesigned sentences with preset points for players to overcome with their own points.

Game Art Direction:


Core Features:
1. Typing complete words to gain points, winning against AI or opponents.
2. swear words are worth double points, but after being used in three comments they lose their effectiveness.
3. You win after a certain score against the opponent is reached.

For some reason the download link is not available. I followed the source code and could find the binary compressed at https://github.com/rennbahncookie/Flame-Wars-Episode-VI--A-New-Post/blob/master/FlameWars_v3.zip. My git labs admin would freak out with a binary file commited to the repository :D.

I like the intro, seems like very 90s to me :). However, the game can be a bit frustrating, because it's not actually trying to make sense of the posts to see how offensive they are. Unless, of course, the idea is to have an offense by only posting something :).
