Gun-chan by LoHii

[raw]
made by LoHii for LD32 (JAM)
Instead of making a weapon out of something that's not usually a weapon, our team made a weapon do something unconventional! The result: Gun-chan, the human-gun dating sim of sorts!

I like the research that has been done to get one game.

I've never played a dating sim, and never roleplayed crush on male. But once I got hearts from John and Vergil, I knew what I had to do!

Dating sims with unconventional love interests is the new black, isn't it? I was expecting more of a traditional VN with dialogue choices and such, but I guess you had to streamline the experience.

Nice take on the theme.

Decent take on the theme, very unconventional. Gameplay just lacked a certain excitement factor to me though, I think a more traditional take on the dating sim would have made this a more captivating experience. Dialogue plays a big part.

tfw your love life is more successful when you're a gun

Liked the game, nice art as well. I got Lizzy in the end. Because she was the first to respond positively. My standards are that low.

Can I just say F*** PAULA.

I didn't expect such an emotional response to this game. But it turns out I hate Paula so much.

I like the twist on the theme. Not subverting it, just reading it differently.

The wall of text in the tutorial made my eyes glaze over, and I lost one night to not understanding the mechanic. I think an in-game tutorial on day one would have made it easy to understand, because in the end it's pretty simple.

Also finding people was frustrating, I get that it's kind of part of the timer mechanic, but the tension was just all "dangit where is everyone" instead of a driving force.

There are some cool ideas in here though, and the graphics are great! The high-speed-dating-sim thing is a pretty fun take on things :D

Great work!
