Greek Sea VR by goodbadokay
It is Virtual Reality game, designed for Google Cardboard and compatible VR headsets (Android OS).
One day, one night, one VRBox2 and one man - and my first VR game have been done :)
Imagine yourself as a captain of ancient greek ship. Just relax and sink all 10 ships. Aim with moving your head, shoot by looking at enemy ships. You can use controller or gamepad for moving your ship.
This is open source project. If you want to create iOS or standalone build (for 3D tv and so on), visit github.
Note: Mac/Windows/Linux versions are playable, but like Doom 1: without mouse look, just keyboard controls :). It is experimental build, target platform is Android!

But congratulations to use it!
Nice to see some cardboard games but it's a shame that it doesn't fully use cardboard controls. It would be more fun if I was able to shoot using the magnet ring, as automatic shooting removes a bit of the immersion. This doesn't exactly categorize as a game as there are no time constraints or score. It would be nice if the ships moved and shot you back. Did you model the ships yourself? They look great. Though I feel they need some sort of texture.
Also game supports keyboard/gamepad controls for ship movement.
About some actions from other ships: it is compo, and I was limited in 48 hours. So I'll play fair and now let it in this state for now. But of course, I'm thinking about som greate enchantments.
Anyway, If you want, I'll create standalone builds.
Usually it takes a lot of work to change the game experience to work on such a different system, so never mind my comment :)
Desktop version is playable, but experience is a bit dull. Anyway, mobile VR game is what I wanted, it is uncharted field where there is a lot of options for experiments.
эх.. заскучал по морю! спасибо
So I played it on my google cardboard and over all it was a great experience!
The ships are greatly detailed and I kinda like the fact they have just one plane color.
The projectile is a capsule which is kinda weird, but its not really that much of a deal.
Over all It was a great simple VR Game!
