God's Gift by guoboism

[raw]
made by guoboism for LD36 (JAM)
This is a kind of static strategy game with a tech map like Civ.

[Quick Info]

The goal is to reach the last tech in the tree before 2016.
The universe rebirth after you fail, but the items inside the pyramid remain the same.
Each tech has a related item.
The items inside the pyramid can unlock the related tech without cost.
You can put any item inside the pyramid after you developed the tech.

[How to play]

Hold the btn at lower right to progress the time, and you can gather some resources with time.
Select a tech and press the btn at right side to research.
Click the Square btn to select the item related to the tech.
You can also select an item inside the pyramid up there.

[About]

Game is done by one person during 72 hours.
The game is not complete from the original design so it may look stupid somewhere.
I spend quite a time to plan the full tech tree, yet in the end, no time to put it into the game.
So the tech tree is too short here.
I might update the game to what it should be.

What does "Tech[]" mean?
I think I need more instructions.... Landing on moon/sun seems useless to me. I got no tech point from them.
But still, it's a great idea as a "Mini Civ". Well-done!

A little hard to understand without the story post(http://ludumdare.com/compo/2016/08/30/gods-gift-the-story/). The gameplay is a little boring as I can do nothing but to click the button, research technology and put then into the pyramid, and these process is too simple. I mean, something straight ahead is a little boring. Nice game anyway XD.

I loved the idea that you can put element in pyramid for the next game.
The ambience is very nice (sound and design)
I would like see the game more completed because I very enjoyed playing it!
Congrats!

The drawings where the pyramids were are really good. I didn't understand the game very well. I move forward in time while discovering new things and ended up failing. Maybe a little more clear strategy in the resource management would be great.

"civilization is long, and time is fleeting. The tiime tries all things."
i really love the grand feeling it contains and emerged to me. espically the topic which revolves around [life] [pyramid] [time],these contrary concepts nice mixed up and give the birth of beauty.
the bgm's loop may be too short to keep flowing, but nice fit and biult great atmosphere that just like i feel in some other games which about universe-space. these neat art have also play a great role in the narrative.totally well done!
i think it already have a great frame for be an awesome game. hope to see it be finished in future.
