Idle Slave Master Clicker
-----------------------------------
Theme: Ancient Technology.
This is my first Ludum Dare entry.
The year is 8000b.c The ancient Gods now known to us as the Alien Overlords, have commanded the Pharaoh to
make a monumental Structure to use as an ancient communications device.
You are the Slave Master in charge of creating and making sure thousands of slaves help build the Great Pyramid.
Upgrade to increase the speed of the slaves, to auto assign slave workers, and increase the value of slaves
when you sell them for gold.
Earn Gold for completing tasks and build the Pyramid as quickly as possible before the Gods become angry and
destroy the Earth.
How much gold can you earn as a Slave Master?

Developed using:
Unity 5.4.0f / Game Development c#
Adobe Flash / 2d graphics
Gimp 2 / Gui, textures
BFXR / Sound effects
------------------------------------
fix:
had to fix the code for idle resources they were reset to 0 instead of getting -1;
Had to fix the end condition to make it equal the pyramid block length.

I increased the hitbox on the slaves for the webgl version only, it makes the game less annoying. The pc build and source files are the original comp version.

ToDo:
Add saving playerPrefs so values are saved.
Working on idle build timer for pyramid blocks(offline build timer).
update the graphics, (I had no internet during the competition, so I had no reference pictures so the graphics were bad).

known issues
(These are Unity build errors)
if you get an unresponsive script error just click continue
if you get a memory error just restart your browser using ctrl + alt + del

Cool game, a little difficult to click "slaves" though.

interesting take on a clicker game. i felt the gui was pretty cluttered and many of the graphics would layer on top of the informational text which was a bit annoying. clicking the slaves seemed kind of needlessly tedious having them run around and evade clicking was just kind of a pain.

The game really wasn't clear with anything, the slaves that move around makes it hard to click on them, it took some time to figure out what to do and I thought I was on the right track until all of my slaves disappear. It was also hard to tell if the slaves are working or not. Good job in making this in such a short time though.

I think the idea is neat but it is very hard to control. Would be better if you could control all slaves in a menu instead of having to click on them. Still, well done on your first LD entry! :)

This game is very annoying.
I have played it for 15 minutes now and could not figure out how it works. The rules are mysterious. You should give clear instructions of how to win the game, this is not fun.
On a technical side, there is a graphics glitch where after some clicks one face will always be shown above the others.
Also some music would have been nice.

Interesting game, though it seems to have some issues. Clicking on slaves was very difficult, and it seemed like trying to sell them gave you nothing. I also couldn't quite tell what sending them to the palace did, it seemed to just send them to the mountains. Also, when you open the menu to assign slaves, the previous option you picked is displayed over the current picture until you mouse over the option you had picked last time.

Nice game to go with the theme. Could have used a little more instruction but I figured it all out. Great job.

Also, were the character pictures inspired by The Simpsons by any chance? Palace worker looks just like Principal Skinner. I see an abstract Lenny, Carl, and Homer too.

Yeh the pictures were half inspired by the Simpsons style. I had no internet during the competition so I had no reference pictures, I would have liked the game to look more ancient Egypt style. I am going to continue working on this game I have a few cool ideas like buying a whip to make slaves work harder.

Cool clicker game. Pretty easy to figure out. Once you get to a certain point, the game is basically click slave, send to pyramid. Because there aren't any penalties for letting a slave die, you can just walk away and let them build the pyramid.

Because you can't upgrade pyramid workers, you can't balance them against the other workers. So you end with an abundance of rocks, stones and blocks.

I don't think the graphics are bad, just simple. What do you expect from a game made in such a short time?

Good job.
