Duck hunt in reverse. Take control of the bird and use your natural poop ability to stop the cowboys from shooting you. Not only do you need to be precise with your bowel movements but you also need to hit the appropriate blocks while flapping around. If you hit the wrong color a spike will appear. Pro tip bouncing off the ceiling might cause you to lose control but once mastered can be used to dodge bouncing bullets.
A fun concept. It wasn't inherently clear at first what the 'Hit This' color suggested, but it was pretty fun once I figured everything out. I always enjoy twists on existing gaming concepts, and I think this was a pretty good one at that. Great use of the theme too. Kudos.
Not the prettiest entry but rather addictive. It's taught me that I'm not good at multitasking though - having to hit the right colour on each side whilst also crapping on people AND dodging their bullets AND not letting the bird fall to the floor or hit any spikes - thank goodness the ceiling doesn't kill you! Really fun entry :)
The game is pretty challenging, but it is fun. Could use more of a balance of content/difficulty, adding more enemies and less challenge to killing them.
For your next compo please do us the favor and not having us to go through an installer, when GameMaker is very good at producing stand-alone EXE files.
The game itself is pretty fun and could have easily been an Atari 2600 game (just imagine the cover!). The weapon mechanic of pooping on gunmen is nothing really new, but the peculiar breakout mechanic with the colors is the core mechanic anyway. To me, the gravity is a tad too strong but, again, that's just old man Phil complaining about today's games. If you have the bird pooping at a constant interval, you could make it a single-tap mobile game, list it as "Crappy Bird" and become rich :)
nice spinoff to flappy bird, like the idea! :) it'd great if the target colour was more visible on the screen. also, the score did not work for me really, or wasn't there a score at all? hahah.
One of the most fun entries I've played so far. Keeping track of the hunter and bullets, the color I was supposed to hit, and the spikes was a fun and challenging.
I like the bouncing off of walls back and forth mechanic more than the pooping on cowboys. It was fun that they melted though! It felt almost like two games overlapping. Interesting concept, and I had fun trying it out. Good work.
Quite the simple, but well made, silly game. I included it in part 7 of my Ludum Dare 32 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/Cnio28O-EgI
Also, what the hell did that bird eat?
