Flavourish by UannaFF

[raw]
made by UannaFF for LD32 (JAM)
In flavourish there is no food left, so there are monsters that have different tastes, the red ones like spicy things, the purple ones like sweet things and the white ones like salty things. You are the saltiest, hottest, sweetest chef there is.. so of course everyone wants to eat you. Sprinkle your enemies with tastes the others want so they eat each other instead of you.

Unfortunately I could only make a level due to technical problems.

Made with godot engine.

Edit: I took RoryD's advice to change controls so now q,w and e controls attack at once... and i fixed some programming errors of the controls so it's not that annoying. I also changed the music because it was driving me crazy(using jcgmusic generator). I hope it's better now, though I know it needs more fixing c:*There is folder with original and post jam*

Great idea!
But sometimes it seems like the jumping does not work ...

Jumping was semi-broken for me. I like the idea of turning enemies against each other, though it's a bit tough when there's only one on screen. I think it would have been much easier to play if q, w, and e just immediately shook the ingredient rather then having to load it first and then fire with r.

I had a lot of trouble with the jumping controls too :( On the other hand, you can tell you put a lot of love into this game man! It's just such a weird premise that totally fits with this ld's theme, loving it!

I like its unique graphical style, which actually reminds me of some cartoon series. Although it's about fighting enemies, I somehow found it to be peaceful. The game has it's own charm. Only the controls seemed a little unresponsive.

Interesting concept! I think it need a little more work but as you said you had technical problems and it's normal. Try to finish it outside of the jam. Add more instructions if you can or some feedback whenever an enemy is "satisfied" or not. Good job!

Nice! A little bug fixing and this game will be glorious. Good idea too.

Neat -- yet unique -- idea.
I got annoyed with the unresponsive controls, but still managed to play the game -- especially since there is only one level.

It needs to be polished but I like the concept and mechanics. It was a fun experience. It feels like this game would benefit from a nice color palette and more consistency in art-style.

That was. The single. Cutest game. I have ever played.

Interesting idea. Looks like control events block each other. So can't rotate when shooting, can't shoot when jump button is pressed (but can shoot when already in the air when jump button is not pressed). In general playable:) Good job.

Like the idea and graphics and music. Needs more challenge and action though:-)
Also, the cook can not only jump, but gravitate to ceiling, and the file hosting is annoying
