This is the first Ludumdare challenge myself and my team-mates have participated in. We are all college students who live and commute together each day and we decided to take a break from our capstone project to compete. ( Shameless Plug, www.rotrgame.com ). Our Game of entry however is Bar Brawler, where you play as an aggravated drunk who has recently thrown the last chair he ever will. We built this game entirely in the weekend and use Unity 5 as our platform (but came to find out the webGL deployment is still a bit buggy) So please enjoy our entry, Bar Brawler, in the unity web player!
Our game made use of the “Unconventional Weapon” category by making nearly every prop, including the enemies!, as weapons.

Yea our 'goal' was to clear out the bar, sadly we were fighting with git overwriting our gui changes up until the last minute so we scrapped it. Thanks!
It had a good moment at the start, but it's really hard to understand what to do.
Also, the gameplay is rather lacking, picking up objects is kinda hard (table highlights but you can't use it?) and throwing is also awkward and not rewarding.
Switching between character is a great idea though.
As you destroy enemies, your strength increases, so you become a stronger brawler, (items like the table are too heavy at first) but as you rack up knockouts, you can lift heavier objects in the scene. Thanks for playing!
Weird little game, though interesting :P I love that you're able to pick up and toss the tables later on. The AI seems a little overpowered though, they kept grabbing the things I threw at them out of the air and throwing them back XD
I always wanted a bar brawl game :D
At the beginning, The game is extremely good. But when you play for a while the pace drops a little. Keep up the good work!
Yeah! Throwing things at people! That's what I needed man, thanks :D. I didn't understand what to do, by the way... I was trying to kill everybody but they just didn't get hurt or bleed... did I miss something? I want some gore! >: )
Oh we had quite similar ideas I see xp
Great job! Just a bit confusing as who I should hit and what to do next. Gotta love the transition as the fight start!
Fun little game but feels a bit rough around the edges. Love the introduction and transition into the action, and the concept of the game is humorous. The game could have strongly benefited from a How To Play screen at the beginning. I'd also recommend a camera that's centered on the player, as the one in place made the game difficult to play. All in all, a solid entry!
The music gets pretty epic pretty fast! But sadly the gameplay can't keep up. Movement feels great! Picking things up works okay. Targeting is a real chore.
For awhile I was wondering why some guys have health bars and some don't -- maybe give them a more visually distinct "dead" state and make it so thrown things go over them instead of pushing them around to make it clearer that you don't have to deal with them.
Overall not a bad entry! It's playable and kind of challenging.
