Bane of Arthropods by AnaglyphCoding
Bane of Arthropods is a game of varying worlds, hazards, enemies and weapons. The weapons used are general overly unconventional, fitting with the theme.
All instructions are hard-coded into the game, and will be shown on the screen before the game starts.
Crash bug: there is a crash bug on the first game. I didn't have time to find it and remove it, so if you experience it then simply restart the game if you wish :)

I like art style and Daft Punk remixes are great and fit to the game. Destructible environment is a nice touch.
Buggy thing: When i jump and hit ceiling i stick to this instead of falling down. And when i try jumping over some block that i'm touching i just jump vertically.
And as a platformer, the controls were tough to use. IT seems that when you hit a wall it turns off your movement. so that mean that if i'm holding left into a wall, then press jump, my character wont move to the left when it's above the wall. That's not how platformers work. Also, it's hard to turn around for a similar reason. when the game worked, it felt good to jump over platforms and such, though. the first part before the pits in the "hell" level felt really nice to jump through.
OVerall, the game seemed ok. I don't understand what the unconventional weapon is, but maybe i'm just thick-headed.
Jumping needs improvement though.
I don't know if I really get it how to play but I really liked the concept!
This also runs fine on Linux, you might want to update your download link.
The framerate was chuggy for me, not sure whether that's just my computer. Polishing the jump physics, movement, and collision would help players really enjoy the havoc they can unleash in this game.
