Keyboard Warrior
You find yourself in a world where polygons of all shapes and sizes are attacking you. Upgrade your weapon to a keyboard, guitar, and even a fish. The game is simple, attack the polygons and collect powerups to stay alive. See how many kills you can get without dieing.
There's a lot more that I would have liked to add, such as more weapons and levels, but I ran out of time. I am still working on the game, and if you would like to see development updates subscribe to my youtube channel below. I am also working on a mobile port, you can check out my Google Play account below to check out my other games.
This is my first Ludum Dare entry, and I'm pretty satisfied about this game as far as a simplified gameplay and graphics. Most of my time was spent on the enemy spawning algorithm and the enemy pathfinding behavior for different shapes.
Dont't forget to post how many kills you got in the comments.
TOOLS:
Unity3d, c#, pyxel, bfxr, and audacity.
Made by an 8th grader. ;)

At first was a bit lost at using Enter as attack. And the rest of it was a bit silly - The levels and the enemies weren't very interesting ... Maybe tie it in with the weapon ? Like, what would you use your keyboard to defeat ... And where would you be doing it ... Some kind of story would go a long way.
(The weapon upgrades when I play it in unity, but not when I build for web... weird)
also, please upload your source to make this a valid compo entry
And i hated basic freaking shapes.
A decent entry. I hope to see more games from you in the future!
I'm not sure about enter as an attack key -- I kept trying to use left mouse key. Otherwise it was entertaining and kind of funny.
One thing you should look into is the upgrading mechanism, as the weapon is not changing when it should.
Also, alot of people are complaining about the artwork and animations, while some people like the simplistic style and think the animations are smooth. I understand this, I am a programmer and not at all an artist (Which is why I am using pixel art) and this was also my first attempt at animations. Some people also think that the controls are weird, I personally don't find anything wrong with it. I didn't have time to add control support, so I apologize for that.
Please keep on commenting, I love how everyone is liking the game and giving constructive criticism. Enjoy the game. :)
Anyway, good job!
And still the most lovely thing is the animation of walking. :D
Keep it going!
Good, simple graphics too.
