Trapped in the cyber tank all alone with limited supplies. But you have a plan. A phone plan that allows unlimited calls to the ammo and shield store. Sure when you signed up for it you thought it was stupid and that the salesman was putting you on but it's all good now. Buy that ammo and shoot your enemies then buy that armour and survive the brunt of their attacks. Unfortunately the signal isn't very good and you'll have to set up the boosters yourself. But I'm sure it will all be worth it.
The first time I made a phone call I actually choked laughing. I think it'd help if enemies felt a little more threatening-- it'd make phone calls really stressful and hectic.
Really stylish graphics and music. A fun twist on Pac-Man.
One tiny detail with the controls -- it seems that up/down always supercedes left/right. It might allow for smoother control if the most recently pressed arrow always took priority.
A loose interpretation on the theme, that said this is a very fun game with some interesting re-imagining of traditional mechanics. Also i love the look! One of my favorite games i played so far. Great job
This was pretty cool! Super fun to play. I liked the secret tip at the end. The one thing I want to critique is the difficulty. At least for me, it seemed somewhat easy. I had saved up over 200 bits because I didn't need to use ammo or replenish my shield. Most enemies you could simply evade. Maybe add a smart, pathfinding enemy? The last fight with the other tanks was a good challenge though.
Great job! You had me playing till the end, and some. Keep up the good work!
The art was very nice, especially on the two saleswomen's sprites. The phone added some urgency to it. "Dammit would you ever pick up, lives are on the line!".
Pretty cool! i really like it! the system to ask for ammo or shield in the same screen, while you are playing on the background, is nice, and fits perfectly with the theme.
Wow Awesome game, tons of time spent on the multible path finding AI's, fun game, unique phone call for equipment aspect. Could use a up in graphic's, audio, and more stuff to buy at the shops, more levels and such on a post LD verison.
I initially expected a Pac-Man sort of thing because of the maze, and got a bit confused when the red things didn't let me eat the monsters... just shows what assumptions get you though : ) Good fun, and I like the style. Nice work!
I like the style of it, but it made it hard to see what was going on during a phone call.
At first I tried to kill all enemies and quickly went out of bits. But when you only kill enemies when absolutely necessary it's really well balanced.
Ben.
