Sunshine Apartments by Macecraft

[raw]
made by Macecraft for LD31 (JAM)
A game where you must keep your tenants happy!

If you don't they leave! Oh noes!
Please check the readme file! (We understand that the rng causes issues, but we hope you enjoy it anyway)
Windows only, sorry!

(The web link is a mirror of the Mediafire)

Please tweet me with any bugs you find on @Macecraft. I've fixed a few, the most recent bug fixed will be pinned. I will aim to fix all the bugs and hopefully upload the game to Gamejolt.

This game will be ported to Android, and I'll keep people posted on its status over my Twitter. The Gamejolt version is merely for getting feedback before we release it.

After reading the readme and knowing what to do it was quite fun. But you really have to be lucky to have the right items in the basement and I haven't really found a strategy to optimize that...

I really liked the graphics, though. Seeing my tenants very happy makes me happy :D

At first, my eye was caught on the art. The gameplay is however simplist, perhaps a bit too much to keep the fun going. With a bit more work, you could have a really nice mobile phone game (upgrades, and so on).

I understand the concept but I don't know how to satisfy my clients!!! That's really bad. And it's soundless. But the graphics are really cute.

So my advice is to add a way to explain the gameplay, like a tutorial. And add some sounds and music. After that, the game could be good.

I'm having trouble downloading your game. Maybe you could add a mirror? I would really like to play it since the screenshot looks super cute, but using mediafire I failed downloading it three times now.

@Macecraft
Thank you for the mirror, I was able to download and play :)

It really is a super cute looking game, but without the readme I was completely lost. Even after I read the readme I was still unable to satisfy my tenants as the merchants were either to infrequent or simply provided the wrong kind of goods. It ended with a crash :(

Ohh, it has adorable graphics! :D
I'm not a good administrator of tenants hahaha but I liked the concept.
Would be nice a timer to see how long the player can last ^^

some bunch of impatient people! Someone should install free wifi in this building, would be more economical ,)

Cute art! The idea was interesting and engaging, although for me if it were a little more strategical /vs luck based/ it would rank higher.

Good job!
