Let There be Pixels by TnT

[raw]
made by TnT for LD31 (JAM)
In a different take, we made an entire game on, as in about, one screen. Trace the history of the computer monitor, from lightbulb to LED, and dig around as a snowman archaeologist to find parts to upgrade your monitor.

Let There be Pixels!

Watch out for skeletons and falling rocks!

Controls:
WASD or Arrows to move
SPACE to throw snowballs
ESC to pause
H hides ingame help
(Moving also hides help.)

NOTE: This game requires JavaFX. Most people should have it anyway as it comes with the standard java distribution package. If you do not have this, the following JRE does: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html

**We believe we fixed the failing to start issue, please let us know if it still happens.

Hey, that was pretty neat! Like Forge said, the way the audio evolved that awesome. It reinforced the feeling that I was progressing!

It was an interesting idea and an original take on the theme, but the gameplay could use a bit more juice.

I didn't see the screenshots, so I wasn't expecting the snowman thing at all !

So, a mix of boulderdash and evoland, that's funny. Good job :)

I loved this while it lasted! The game started as a few lightbulbs, and it became sharper and sharper, it's ingenious! Love it, but I died when I got the colour monitor and it went black :(

Cool game, the second part reminded me of an old game called chips challenge.

Can't play it so won't score it. Have Java 1.7 on 64bit Windows 7. Looks like it would have been really interesting. :)

The evolution bit was neat - I was very confused when I was playing a lightbulbs game after seeing the screenshots. xD

Very clever take on the theme, and cool evolution idea! Gameplay was good, but controls could have been a little tighter. Great job!
