I love the gameplay, except it's kind of unforgiving; on the very first level I had to choose EXACTLY the right combination of items and fit them in with NO extra space. Later levels seemed more forgiving, which is odd. But I love arranging stuff. (The bit where you have to figure out the most efficient combination of items, though, that makes me worry...I'm scared there will be too many options and I'll be stuck searching through them for hours...)\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The tone of the story is...Well, I can get behind a post-apocalyptic parody with a guy traveling with 'Jeff', and then what happens to Jeff, and it's hilarious...but then he talks about his kids disappearing, it almost seems TOO serious. (I love the 'Blue Pane of Glass', though. Somehow the mere idea of that amuses me.) I guess maybe just a little editing to make sure you strike the right tone.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>One thing I'd like to see is, if you try to put down an item, and it is blocked by one other item, the item you're holding gets picked down and the one that was blocking gets picked up. (I think Diablo 2, the obvious inspiration for this game, does it that way...)\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Anyway, I had fun with this!"},{"author_name":"Wusakko","author_uid":"47002","time":"Dec 11, 2014 @ 3:31pm","epoch":1418311560,"text":"Really nice puzzlegame! I just want a bigger bag god damnit.  It's a funny idea to make an entire game about inventory management, but I don't know if this kind of gameplay is very fun on its own.  Todd didn't make it, but we filled up our story quota anyway.  I had some problems with the rotation, it seems like the pivot point was not centered on some pieces, which meant I had to click outside the window to place items (which obviously doesn't work)  I really like the simple art on all the items, and how you convey the story of the game through the actual inventory management (requiring the player to fill in a lot of the blanks since the items are most of the time nonsensical).  The only other thing I can really say is that the interface itself is rather stark (gray on black).  I think maybe changing up the color choice on the background would have gone a long way.  Nice job indicating what each piece was through the outline though.  Mostly intuitive once I got the basics down, and really funny ending.  Thanks for creating your game!"},{"author_name":"Draknek","author_uid":"741","time":"Dec 25, 2014 @ 9:15pm","epoch":1419541800,"text":"Got stuck on the second puzzle and couldn't be bothered to keep trying, but this is a neat way of doing storytelling."}],"images":["ld31\/44776-bce83394924c1429e794604f364efe65.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/4976oqdfnffl5jj\/Inventory.exe?dl=0","text":"Windows exe"},{"url":"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/uguqh6s246fmg1w\/Inventory.exe?dl=0","text":"Windows Installer"},{"url":"https:\/\/themeorch.itch.io\/inventory","text":"Post-Jam"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"13346","g_author":"44776","g_event":"LD31","g_eventkey":"26","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"13376","g_title":"Inventory","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"85","g_commentcount":"38","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/407933\/44776-shot0.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"Join a father on his desperate quest to reclaim what has been taken from him, and also fit a bunch of knickknacks into his very large suitcase.\r\n\r\nAt each stop along your journey, you must arrange items in your inventory to accumulate enough Attack, Health, and Story points to move forward.\r\n\r\nLeft-click to pick up or drop items.\r\nRight-click or press spacebar to rotate items.","title":"Inventory"}
