Gladarena by Moist

[raw]
made by Moist for LD31 (JAM)
A very raw prototype of a gladiator arena fightning game. Didn't have time to give it proper treatment but I'm posting it anyway.

Nice game, I can see myself playing a fleshed out version of this in the future

Pretty decent. The controls were satisfying, and the feedback when attacking was good.

Would have liked to have seen a health indicator of some form, as well as perhaps a count-up timer and/or kill count in order to measure success from one game to the next.

Short and pretty fun, but it really needs some form of indication as to whether you're taking damage. I would just be fighting and suddenly I'm dead, with no warning. If you added an HUD and added more of a defined goal it would be pretty good.

Hey, this is pretty cool! I hope you can develop it into something fuller in the future! :) There's not really much to talk about, but it has an odd charm to it. Nice work!

Very cute, it made me giggle. Reminded me of the old Madness flash games. Would be interesting to see it more polished.

This was pretty fun! What you got in the game works pretty well and was enjoyable to play. I like the art style a lot and I also liked the different weapon attack speeds. Good job on having a decent AI as well, it seemed like some of them tried to flank me instead of all just clumping up to attack. I think the next major additions could include ways to dodge attacks like dashing or rolling.Currently theres not a good way to evade the enemy since they seem to be about as fast as you are.
