An Ancient Mistery by thiagofr
A bomb has been planted, and a detective specialized in ancient misteries was called. Could he be able to deactivate it?
This game uses the "ancient technology" of criptography. Discover both the cypher and the key that were used to activate the bomb and type the correct password to disarm it!
You can take your time :-)

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description. (you can already find several games from the jam there)
It would be nicer to move quicker.
The noir pixel-art is lovely and the whore game looks so polished, btw.
Well done!
However, I was really intent on solving the puzzle. I got that I had to decrypt the word on the paper using a Caesar cipher, but I didn't know by how many letters you had to shift the code. I tried 9 for 9 letters in "Cleopatra", or 7 for "Cleopatra VII Philophator", but neither gave me a sensible word.
Now I'll try to answer some questions:
- tygrak, the Caesar's painting was there because the cypher that you have to use is based on the Caesar's cypher, which was one of the first cyphers ever made.
- kapricornmedia, <SPOILER> you have to use the vigenère cypher, which is based on the caesar cypher. It uses another word to encrypt a whole message. In this case, the message in the paper on the ground was created by summing the bomb's password with the cypher "cleopatra", which resulted in that nonsensical word. The amount of letters you use to shift depends on the word you use as cypher. The word "aaa", for instance, would shift every letter in the text by one.</SPOILER>
Thanks again for everyone playing this game! It's my second entry on LD and I'm very happy with it. o//
The style is interesting though. Keep it up!

Not sure what went wrong, maybe I'm just missing something...
Neat idea though; as others have flagged up, the lack of diagonal movement is weird, and the fact that the walk animation constantly plays is a bit...disorienting, but otherwise pretty good.
