Thank you all for the feedback :) We were hoping to have gamepad support but it broke at the last minute so apologies for the strange controls :(

QER - Wolf attacks

--------------------------------------------------------
Trapped in a mysterious world of shadows and light,
With darkness encroaching, that kills with a fright,
Two fairy tale characters, who feel such hate,
Are forced to pair up to, or suffer such a fate.
The Big Bad Wolf is skilled in how to kill and maul,
Yet cannot reach platforms or even curl into a ball.
Little Red Riding Hood, though untrained in combat,
Can scale up and down platforms with the speed of a rat.
These powers they use to escape the darkness’ wrath,
--------------------------------------------------------

In this local co-op beat’em up platformer, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf have formed an uneasy alliance. The duo have to traverse a spooky, projector-screen world to escape the deadly encroaching Darkness that seeps up from below, but there’s a catch. They are magically linked – if either of them die, then they both die. This leaves the Big Bad Wolf deprived of a tasty human snack, and instead the sole protector of one.

For the player controlling the Big Bad Wolf, they have a number of attacks at their disposal; they can huff and puff to hit their enemies at long range, or claw and bite them to inflict more damage at close range. While they can wipe out the Woodcutters, Witches and Trolls that hunt them down, they cannot ascend the level to escape the deadly darkness.

The player controlling Little Red Riding Hood cannot fight, and has much lower health than the Big Bad Wolf. However, they have one skill the Big Bad Wolf does not – they can jump, and when they are in close proximity with the Big Bad Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood can help them jump. And in a world full of platforms, that is crucial. Both characters need the other to survive.
While facing old enemies and kicking their ass!
So, find a friend to platform and fight,
If you struggle, you can switch players at a Transforming Light.
Make haste, press Start, and answer their plea,
As the ‘Wolf and the ‘Hood embark on The Grimm Journey.

I haven't play this with a friend, but I can see this is a great concept.
Very nice visuals and brooding music. Some small animations would be nice, even if it were only 2 sprites.

Good job!

Great artwork and idea. But there are some issues, like I can't fight while not running, or once darkness came, then I touched the light and the game restarted. It seems to me, cheating darkness ate me behind the screen :) Anyway, good job!

Wow! Nice graphic and plot, but controls are confusing. But all in all a very good game. Congratulations!

Control's not working for me... But I like the unique art of the game very much! The audio is also very good. Together they create a very environmental feel for the game.

Cool concept. However the controls were really strange. I often seemed unable to attack. A bit more feedback about what the controls do would be great. But the mood is quite great.

it's a brilliant idea with an absolutely stunning visual aesthetic, but I feel like the actual mechanics fall a bit flat. Combat doesn't feel responsive, platforming feels floaty, and the mechanics are extremely vague and unclear.
A good start, though, and I'd love to see this built into a more polished product with stronger gameplay.
