This game is bare bones. I didn't see any random events or even much in the way of changing prices. There was no reason not to just find the closest buy\/sell planets and pinball between them. Owning a fleet of trade ships is a nice start, but there is no incentive to do so. Also, queuing destinations doesn't seem to be working as intended. (queuing multiple planets only leads you to visiting the last selected planet after the ship stops moving.)"},{"author_name":"srakowski","author_uid":"26664","time":"Dec 10, 2014 @ 3:50am","epoch":1418183100,"text":"I can't seem to get to this one... get 500 error when trying to download from dropbox."},{"author_name":"Divitos","author_uid":"9732","time":"Dec 10, 2014 @ 3:56am","epoch":1418183460,"text":"There needs to be some more random aspects to it."},{"author_name":"ZXeno","author_uid":"28862","time":"Dec 10, 2014 @ 5:21am","epoch":1418188560,"text":"I added an alternate download source for the game. If you ever want to release another version of this in the future, then definitely have some random events here, and make it a little harder, because it seemed very easy to generate free money and never lose any. I'd also recommend having more than one screen resolution, and perhaps a full-screen mode, because part of the bottom was cut off on my screen. Good job with what's here so far, it just needs a little more work and it could grow into something pretty cool."}],"images":["ld31\/28862-5e54841cfd1b1c3147b17e728c74cbe1.jpg","ld31\/28862-c8e51958e882020ad4c5bfe5691ac438.jpg","ld31\/28862-bfeabfaba7f5afbb8a8c2af8871643d8.jpg","ld31\/28862-6449e3d0b97949fba99e3e4339b77e37.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/nv1o1ygsql779cr\/Ludum%20Traders.rar?dl=0","text":"Windows"},{"url":"http:\/\/signalreceived.com\/LudumTraders\/LudumTraders.rar","text":"Windows (alternate download source)"},{"url":"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/xo9k6d2axn5i1mt\/LTSource.rar?dl=0","text":"Source"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"13710","g_author":"28862","g_event":"LD31","g_eventkey":"26","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"13740","g_title":"Ludum Traders","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"771","g_commentcount":"13","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/407933\/28862-shot0.PNG-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/407933\/28862-shot1.PNG-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/407933\/28862-shot2.PNG-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/407933\/28862-shot3.PNG-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"Minimum resolution: 1216x960\r\nWindows w\/ .Net 4 framework \r\n(Linux builds coming when I figure out how to buid it, but you may be able to run through Wine w\/ DX libs, if you have how-tos on building for other platforms, please send to me!)\r\nMouse(or touchpad)\/Keyboard\r\nSpeakers\/Headphones\/etc for Artuir's awesome music!\r\n\r\nYou have just set out running your own star trading company in a small, unimportant part of the galaxy. Run your company successfully, and you will never fail! But run out of money, and you're done.\r\n\r\nLudum Traders is a simple trade game built on a 60x60 tile map. \r\nStars are labled which are buying (B) and which are selling (S) goods. \r\nNew ships can be purchased for $5000.\r\nShips use 1 fuel for every tile the traverse. Cargo prices change based on availability.\r\n\r\nYour money is shown in the top-right hand corner of the screen.\r\nYou can buy ships by clicking on the icon in the lower right.\r\n\r\nLeft-click to select a ship.
