Under the vigilant gaze of two festive harpies (elves? imps? harlots? the world may never know), the player partakes in rampant destruction of Christmas ornaments. This rampant demolition is hastened by an in-game timer which ticks down from four minutes and twenty seconds. (The subcultural reference present here is so obvious it's not worth mentioning, but it would explain many of the artistic choices present in this game.)
During my playthrough, I chose to paint the board a festive green. Compelled by the unswerving visage of the two-headed Christmas faeries, I completed my task in a mere two minutes. The two oracles then spoke in unison like the chorus in a Sophocles epic, echoing a moral sentiment that I will never forget:

...

"Don't be a grinch"

Upon seeing these words, I realized immediately the true meaning of Christmas-- love of our lord and savior, Jesus Hernandez Christ the Son of God aka Jehovah aka "G-d," who had saved me from my wasteful materialism in the pursuit of aesthetic unity, and I got down on my knees and wept for the innocence I had lost.

Nice little game for kids. If this was on mobile/tablet, with cute graphics and more sounds it could be something kids could spend time with.

There could be 2 modes of difficulty: on easy, you could not delete the balloons of the selected color. On normal, you could also delete your own balloons.

Kids probably shouldn't have time limit by the way.

And "don't be a grinch" is okay, but a more positive reward would be more fun :)

If also wants an adult mode: then there could be limitation of what you can destroy (must have 2 same colors... and "no balloon if there's already one another") and so on.

Hey thanks for trying out the game. :) Ya there's some things that could be improved on this game. And yes it would be good for mobile. I have some plans to expand it a bit as I was a little pressed for time so likely add a deluxe build on here before Christmas with some more levels and options :)

Nice idea for a game! I tried the HTML5 version and thought there was something missing because I couldn't work out what I was supposed to do, so I downloaded the windows version and found what's missing. For me in Chrome the HTML5 version doesn't spawn any new bells! Also in the windows version you can break bells through the "Touch any key" banner. :-D Aside from that, congrats it's great!

As someone else mentioned, the Web version doesn't spawn new bells. The Windows one seems to be wonky as well, as they spawn, but are indecisive about the color. Many bells, for example, would appear at the top of the screen, start falling, then reset back at the top of the screen as a different color. This is rather annoying.

Thanks for the comments , ya I should have tested my html build I was just so happy to get the game to load in the first place as I had to upgrade to Game Maker 1.4 as the game wouldn't load at all before. I'll have a look at it after work. An the spawning at the top I know about it. It's something I know I can fix just ran out of time to do it.

I'm happy to report the html works exactly like the original now all fixed . Thanks for the feedback. I will be working on a deluxe version of this game this week using the suggestions given.

@Omiya Games I just fixed the bug in my game that causes the bells to blink I will be putting a deluxe version up on the Itchio page soon :)

I just added a Deluxe Version which has the fixes and suggestions I got here :)

At some point no more bells would fall. I did not really know what to do at that point :(

I just checked the browser version all good if they get stuck over the grid just right click those ones and keep going

Really good match-3 game, would definitely work well for touch screens.

Key problems are the bells dropping a bit slow, and there seems to be an issue where there are bells that hang at the top.

I had a good time bursting all those balloons (bells). I destroyed them all, but nothing happened (Web version). Nice music and sound effects.

You were supposed to just destroy all but one color to reveal the message at the bottom :)
