[raw]
made by rodobodolfo for LD36 (JAM)
Welcome to Ancient Tech! The hottest second hand store in town!
Our sassy salesman has been struggling to sell our useless tat. Perhaps you can help guide him to be a better salesman.

Click a Product to lead the client to it, then click the client to initiate your sales pitch. Try to talk your way into a sale!

Seal the deal early to increase score. Don't be too sassy or you'll kill the deal.

The game finishes once all four customers have finished shopping. Good luck, and remember to SELL SELL SELL!!!

***Due to time constraints not everything is for sale...Also, some typos still exist but we can't be bothered to fix them now. Sorry.

Tools Used...
Unity

Cute and funny. I really like the graphics, music, and the writing. Pretty much the whole package.

It kind of feels like a bit of a crapshoot which option I should select at any time. Perhaps I just haven't figured out the hints yet.

By the way, the web player version took a looooooong time to load. I'm not sure if that's anything you can fix though.

An interesting game. The writing is excellent, great humor. Fun to play but it was a bit slow having to wait for everyone to walk around before the dialogue started.

Very nice game guys. I love the irony in the dialogue. Looking in the screenshots I seen a 5th customer which I don't find in the game. Is it available, or it was cut due to time limit? However, really fun game and I would love to play more games in this direction. Good job :) !

Gorgeous, gorgeous. This is the best dialogue in the entire LD36! I frankly enjoyed selling junk. Very good work. I'm your fan. Sold! :)

Really fun game, the graphics are amazing, the dialogues are funny, it reminds me of some actual salesman who would lie just to sell stuff, really good game, great job.
btw best part of the game for me was the music very catchy and suited the style of the game.

Such great humor, I laughed out loud a few times (earth needs a case to protect itself from the phone, Morgan Freeman spinning for 3 days).

Fantastic work on everything: the style, the caricatured customers, the music.

I love how the salesman calls everyone ma’am. Maybe that’s just an oversight or bug but that is really funny.

Very well executed. It gave me the old Lucas Art feeling. I used to be a phone sales person myself and I can totally relate. By the way, that's a phone I sold first in that game. Looks like I haven't lost my skills XD

It seems very random to know what item might work for which customer. But trying out everything is really funny so I don't really mind.

Graphics and music are really good as well.

Just a minor bug that disappeared quickly : one of the customer got his face replaced by mine for a line or two, then it went back to normal. Screenshot here : http://imgur.com/7T57hnS

By the way, I'd love to see how Yahoo looks on this green-green computer screen :D

It's very funny! One tip, change the music is necessary for this kind of game. And nice work with text box, it's from Unity Adventure Framework or you make from scratch?

I've always been keen on shopkeeping games and games that mess with applying systems to conversations, so I was definitely excited to try this one! Unfortunately, I found myself having trouble figuring out how the customers would react to various things, or even what some of the options meant, which gave me some trouble selling things. Maybe I wasn't following your "don't be too sassy" advice?

I'd definitely be interested in seeing where this goes if you do choose to develop it further, though!

What a fun little game! Graphics and music are nice, dialogues are great xD In my first run I was able to only sell one item >_< But in my second I sold to all four of them!....? But apparently I missed one sale...? Also apparently I could take as long as I wanted to make a sale and it didn't affect my score.

Anyway great job!

Liked the dialogue and item descriptions. Was interesting trying to sell objects without overdoing the sale and learning the salesman balance and how far you could push the customers.

Nice game:)

I found a bug, after I sold the old lady a cell phone, somehow the game glitched back into the conversation with her on the next customer, only she wasn't there anymore, just her disembodied voice prompts. After that, it seemed to play OK for the remainder of the session.

Funny game! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/kkOlDKzD1Xw
