SUPER BOMB SHOOTER 48 by vlamaster

[raw]
made by vlamaster for LD31 (COMPO)
Destroy bombs and protect your little island. Get items, power ups and try to survive as many waves as possible.

This game lacks some gameplay, but it's because I was late for the jam and I had to finish this project early, because of school.

I hope you enjoy it, and I am looking forward to work on this game after the jam.

KNOWN ISSUES:
some items/upgrades are not getting reset after death.

CONTROLS:

A,D - move
W - jump
2xW - 2-jump
mouse - shoot

Hey! It was more fun than expected! I feel that the difficulty is just nice, but I had trouble collecting scraps to exchange. Once you add the audio, I'm sure this will turn out to be a attractive game!

Also had more fun then expected. The "collect stuff while shooting and jumping" mechanic works very well.

It'sa very hard game, but i like the concept. Music and sound are missing the game

You can definitely tell where you were going with this, what with the seemingly nonfunctional items on the map. It's a good game for what it is! I wish the bombs had sped up though.

The audio with beating techno music and loud explosion effects were obviously missing. Of course a game like this needs a crosshair-shaped cursor. I liked the concept progression. Waiting for the next upgrade kept me playing. What I didn't like was the constant mouse clicking, especially when you needed multiple hits to down one bomb.

That was simple, but fun. The jumping felt a little unforgiving... I most often died when trying to jump off the edge, but the jump didn't register, and I fell to my doom.

I was hoping there would be a bit more variety to the game, and look forward to a post-compo version.

Simple yet challenging idea that keeps you playing for a while! Would have been fun to have different kind of bombs, for example one that drops immediately but only explodes within a set timer and you need to throw away. This have some potential!

Really lacks some audio, but I guess you're excused.. :) The movement felt surprisingly good.
Gameplay could be a little more varied after all, but it's a good start and holds some potential for a really fun game, you know, the super crate box kind.
