2 Towers by peterentwistle

This is my second submission to Ludum Dare, not 100% how I would have liked it to turn out, I had loads of other features planned, but I am much happier with this entry over my previous. Overall I feel that I’ve learnt a lot this weekend and I had so much fun doing it!

Fun game, I've never wanted to kill a little red man so badly...lol.

Nice concept, although it lacks in using skill, simply starting to shoot first wins the game after all. Maybe if you added randomly spawned objective items, hp, points between the towers you would encourage the movement of you and the AI even more.
Also the animation of the stickmen is funny because it looks like they are doing something else :)

Pretty fun, but no real sense of strategy. You just fire on the wall until you win, because why would you ever leave the safety of the wall? I thought maybe I could chase the red guy down but I couldn't pass through his walls so it mostly became a wall shooting contest.

Vaguely fun, it's pretty satisfying when you knock down a tower. I agree that the game seems pretty unbalanced because basically whoever shoots first wins. It's great that you learned and had fun with the challenge though! And the music is really nice-- kind of intense but also very simple and catchy.

I agree with the others, it's a bit too easy to win but I enjoy that you made the music (I appreciate good made music...hence my game)

On the bright side, your game is bug-free!

quick little game, the gameplay is simplistic and the art style is a bit nostalgic for me of countless old flash games. I feel the strong point of this entry is the music. Good job :)

Theme is nailed. I like that the game has an end-game function, so it makes it whole. Good AI for such a small game. Nice entry!

Holly cow, that was hard. I feel like the game is missing something, feels a little bit too simple for me. I also think the music doesn't fit too much with the gameplay, even though it's good. All in all, a good effort. Keep up the good work.

This game is 5 minutes of mouse destroying clicks. Also I feel like it was originally snowballs.

Nice concept but the outcome tends to be whoever starts shooting first wins.

Cool concept, but I won just by holding down LMB and nothing else, so no challenge at all. Nice music! :)

Pretty cool to play once! But for people to return it would need some more challenges. Fun though :)

--------That's exactly what I want to say! I have committed my second LD game. And I was really happy that I can finished though mine is still a simple game.

It's funny~~ Feel like the one who can destroy all the blocks faster will win the game..hahaha I almost hurt my finger cause I'm using the touch pad :)

I really dig that song. The win condition is cool, although I agree with some people -- I wish there was a bit more complex strategy to it (maybe some risk/reward thing for moving up close? Like stronger bullets but you have to risk getting shot to get them?) Anyway I really liked it, nice work

Pretty fun and cute. I plated without the "cheat" and its more tense :)

Thanks for the feedback guys :) I had so much fun with this entry. I might make an improved post-compo version.

My strategy was to tank as much damage as I could to save my tower's health. That way I would always destroy the enemy towers before they could destroy mine. Cool game, but could use a bit more depth.

Hi there. Nothing seemed to get through, easy to die, doesn't seem to be a point which is achievable. Liked the music.

I won by holding down left mouse. Needs some more skillful gameplay. I wanna work for the win.

Liked the idea, but I felt like it was just the one who spammed the most who won. Would be good if you added some way of actually make it worthwhile to move around and try to outsmart the opponent!
