Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.
But could you help me? Do I have to defeat the AI in Pong or do I have to use the fleeing ball somehow?
really wow...
The game itself seems pretty cool too. I did not manage to go far (and finaly burn every program and files), but that's my problem. :p
Find few annoying bugs (if you check panel for the first time and walk away before it start loading - E button will not work)
I wasn't 100% sure what I was doing, I managed to make another document, but it didn't do anything.
I had trouble understanding what to do sometimes but I think it's part of the experience, music is really cool too.
It can be a bit weird at first but nice entry ;)
@beatriz: Thank you! :)
@urielgamedev We're glad you found something new in this game that you like. If you want to see more, just keep an eye out for Kapricorn Media in the future!
@2011petia Thank you!
@Geruhn Yep, the upload/chat is the ending of the game. Thanks for playing! If you want to see more, keep an eye out for Kapricorn Media in the future ;)
@Four Quarters Thanks for pointing that out, we'll have to check it out.
@MewSoul Thank you! :)
@Culturebosh_games Thank you, thank you! It's alright, there's a bit of an unusual puzzle anyways, but we're glad you enjoyed the experience.
@fabsy Haha, we're flattered to see you call it "weird stuff" (seriously)
@nicso Thanks! This is the programmer typing, so I can't give you a full response, but our artist really really likes Moebius, so there's definitely some influence.
@PanicTheFirst Thank you so much!
@A Little Red Panda Thanks! Yeah, it might a little weird to figure out, but it does have something to do with text files and the programs that are installed in the terminal.
@TomBuston Thank you! And you are right, it is part of the experience ;)
@ajayajayaj Thank you for playing and commenting!
@cubotrox_toni Thank you so much!
Minor issues: The WASD + E controls seemed a bit clunky, it might have been better suited to a point-and-click interface, especially since that's how the in-game computer worked. I also had a bug where I launched the network program multiple times and then couldn't move or close the old ones, but the upload still worked so it didn't break the game at least.
Music is nice. Seems like you could develop the idea into a very long and involved story driven rpg.
The only drawback is that the majority of the gameplay mechanics were contained within the terminal which would seriously limit the game.
Great job.
I got stuck after compiling the text file into some purple file. I tried uploading it or dragging it onto things but didn't mange to make anything happen..
@Sean: Thank you so much! We're glad you liked it! Shure, point and click might have worked better. We were not aware of that bug! We shall fix it as soon as we can :)
@AnaGF: Thank you Ana. The computer is there for you to run a specific set of programs to create an ".exe" file. At first, you may begin by creating a textfile and write something on it. Then... your instinct shall guide you :)
@ikroth: Thank you!!
@CyberStarLight: Thank you! Select the ball first :)
