Punk Enforcer by fireAndCoffee

[raw]
made by fireAndCoffee for LD31 (COMPO)
As a bouncer at a chaotic punk concert, your job is to make sure nobody flies into the audience through brute force.

Hold your left mouse button down to slide around your character and prevent the crowdsurfers from getting to the stage.

Based on a real life story.

I'm happy to say that this was my first Ludum Dare and first time developing a game in c#!

Game in Unity3d
Art done in Photoshop

Nice graphics and music! The sound effect and the whitening of the screen are a bit harsh imo :P It makes you want to blink as well, heh

like the game, but really like the music. One thing that would have been much cooler is animating the musician(even a simple one) to bring mood.
Anyway good job for your first LD/C# game

I was a bit confused at first, but once the game got started, it became clear what you had to do. GJ. I enjoyed it quite a bit!

That blinking is slightly disturbing, after 3 minutes i wanted to turn it off and rest my eyes.
Nice idea, good looking graphics but you could draw all three performers to look a little different.

I liked the theme and the music, and I found the concept pretty amusing. The sprite graphics were pretty good too, apart from the musicians, but the flashing effect was pretty unpleasant. Not as unpleasant as actually being hit in the face by a crowdsurfing punk, but it made me wonder if I was doing something wrong at first.

I liked playing it the way it was meant to be played and then I thought I found a loophole. IF you put the bouncer on the insideish of one of the side guitarist you can always protect him, nothing gets through. Really enjoyed it, consider adding something to deter or prevent this tactic.

Nice implementation, and some great tunes. Some crazy looking band members there compered to the crowd and the bouncer!

Never played a game that involves stagediving, before! That's great!

I like both graphics and sound, the gameplay is smooth and easy to grasp (it could work nicely on mobile, I think). If you plan to make enhancements to this one, make it more challenging!

Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare! Keep them coming! :D

The sound effect on blocking a stage diver is a little harsh. The music is fun and the game is simple and easy to understand while still fitting with the theme and being fun to play. Great job!

Hi there. Stage jumping, did not expect that. Quite fun. Like the takeouts of band members when you fail. Good job!
