An Adventure on My Screen by Erhune
An entire game on one screen? Then welcome to my apartment in Tokyo, Japan, where "An Adventure on My Screen" is running... well... on my screen.
Can't make it there? Too bad for you.
...wait, come back! Here is what I'll do: I'll film my screen and stream it on Twitch, so for the next weeks you can actually play the game! I know, I know, I'm fantastic!
And don't worry, I've also hooked up the game controls to the Twitch chat, so you can actually *play* it. Just bear with the lag, m'kay?
Basic commands are described on the Twitch channel description, be sure to read it too! If you are impatient, you can start by GOING TO THE LAKE, kill some bugs and when you have collected 200 Gold you can GO TO THE SMITH to BUY A KNIFE.
Oh... And also be nice to the other players. It can get cramped with everyone on my screen, so I've limited to game to 32 simultaneous players. If you don't appear in the game, just wait, you'll be queued in the world when someone leaves!
Changes:
8 dec 2014: added some immediate feedback on the Twitch chat to compensate for the ~20s delay between commands and visual feedback
21 dec 2014: fixed a minor bug where the HP of your character would be incorrectly restored if you log back after a game restart
9 jan 2014: the game is no longer playable on Twitch (I need to get my work monitor back ^^')
12 jan 2014: added a offline build of the game to this page

chaosed0> Yeah I wish I could have much less delay, but not much I can do unfortunately... :(
Nice idea. Was OFFLINE on 10Dec at 19:07 GMT.
This is probably the best interpretation of the theme I've seen. I mean, it takes all places on ONE screen (yours!). Again, really creative.
Also I kinda wish you designed around the delay better since you're bound to be very aware of it. For example make the combat slower or some such.

Well there has been 'Twitch Plays' so not a brand-new idea. It does fit perfectly with the theme though, I'm surprised nobody else thought of doing something like this! At least not amongst those whose games I played. Good job, very clever :)
