The box placement could be a bit slower but overall great for a 2 day project! Goodjob!
Improvements I'd like to see: Placing boxes in the truck could be improved by using a KeyDown function instead of checking for Key press so placement is less finicky. I'd also like to be able to put down boxes once I've picked them up. Ran into a bug where the boxes in the truck would persist if I mashed spacebar at the button that sends the truck away. Random temporary obstacles spawning instead of boxes on the second and third floors could add variety in the way the player chooses what boxes to pick up and how they get to them.
Nice graphics, nice atmosphere, everything feels like you need to do it quickly.

Well done. This is definitely something I would play.
Great! Reminds me of old Atari games. Simple yet fun and challenging and with charming graphics to boot. I like that you get to place the boxes however you want and that the forklift rolls by to steal your stuff occasionally.
Things to improve: The music loop could be a bit longer (probably a time-constraint thing) and the placing of the boxes is a bit imprecise right now, as others have pointed out. I'd suggest making it so that the box only moves one space each time you press the button; I think in GML you can do that with keyboard_check_pressed(key) but it's been ages since I used GameMaker so I might be wrong. Some sound effects would be nice as well.
Anyway, I really enjoyed it!
The forklift was a fun little addition, but there wasn't much for me to do other than to simply wait for it to pass. Maybe if I could have set the box I was hold doing at the top of the first ladder and grab another box while the forklift goes by, I could have felt like I was strategically optimizing my efficiency.
When I tried to place a box into an invalid/overlapping spot in the truck, I would have preferred to just receive a small invalid style sound effect, leaving the box still under my position control. The message box made me think the game crashed for a moment.
The physics of ladder climbing slowed me down quite a bit. Especially in the areas where the ladder passes through the floor, I would actually get stuck between the upper and lower edges of the floor too easily.
